Noob v9 just appeared

I’ve just done a Molotow paint mod on my V9.

1. Get the 127HS one4all silver metallic paint marker
2. Shake well before applying 1 or 2 drops on the triangle/numbers
3. Use a toothpick to push the paint and let it seep into the grooves evenly
4. Let it dry for at least 30 min
5. Clean up the excess paint outside of the engravings with a cotton bud or tissue paper dipped in acetone (nail polish remover)

Will try to get pictures up later.

Yeah you nailed it. The only dial that comes close is the BP one. The rest have their sunbursts go a little bit more supernova. Honestly I don't mind that actually, I really like the stronger sunburst more. The gen goes fully black more often than the rep, and is a lot more "mat" than the rep. My v6s still goes fully black also, but does so at a much smaller range of angles than the gen

But don't think the BP is going to solve all your problems. Their dials are awesome. Their lume though... as lumpy as sugar-bowl that was raped by a soggy spoon

Glad to know I’m not the only one with this observation. It’s a pity the strong sunbursts are not for me. In the case of my Hulk, I thought it made the dial look cheap like those from the $50 dhgate-tier, despite the well printed text.

Oh look, it shouldn't make you feel that way (depending on which version you have) - the difference is very minute. Have a look at this thread, https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/rolex-tudor-replicas/6812202-gen-hulk-vs-noob-v9-vs-arf - Look at the third picture. ARF have almost got the dial bang on. It's a shame none of the rep inserts can compete against the gen in low lighting/bright indoor lighting conditions

arf comes close to the matt look of the dial in low light, but is far away form the actual sunburst effect under stronger light. But the difference is 100% better than dhgate trash, and if you would not have the gen next to it its a bang on, true

Not to mention the ARF “submariner” and rest of font is weak as F. Isnt bold enough compared to the v9 or gen. v9 is the better of the two. I havent saw a BP so cant comment.

While most agree ARF insert is better (it may be idk personally) the v9 bezel is great. Clicks like gen nice and loud and it’s precise. The insert isn’t as deep as ARF (which may be a good thing) but it is pretty good on its own

Gen or rep?

I think a rubber strap is the best way to daily wear a rolex. It's a more casual and subtle look. Then you switch back to the bracelet when you want to dress it up.

This is a great point you make. You get a perm plat mod (spongebob etc) on a v9 insert you wont tell the difference in good light. The ARF has better colour in the numbers and deeper OTB which are slightly more gen like.

The white numbering that comes with the v9 pisses me off, as does the idea of molotoving it to wait for 2 weeks then redo or send off for spattering and wait 13 years for spongebobs turnaround time (exaggeration) but you know what i mean.

Yours looks fantastic by the way buddy enjoy it.

It’s the 3135 movement. It’s nothing obvious maybe because I’m looking out for anything lol.

My friend actually bought brand new hulk today i went to seeing and took some pics against my genuine bi metal sub, didn’t bother taking my v9 as I’ve heard horror stories and didn’t want embarrassing, I’ve taken similar pics with my v9 so I’ll post pics below. 2 with genuine hulk and 2 with my v9

the cyclops looks more genlike on the gen, but im amazed how good it looks on the v9.
the insertmarker color is more white on the noob.
the sunburst is finer(less sparkle) on the gen.
the gen crown is more crisp.
and at least the caselugs are more symetric on the gen.

and at least i checked the time and date. that made it sure to me that those are the same.

but as u can see. the v9 is great! nearly impossible to spot for someone whos not on a rep-forum.
