Well, I broke down and ordered a v9. My fingers are crossed

I am concerned with the SEL since I am going to build a Sub C LN! LV is hard to build and feel good about because of the dial and insert as you correctly mentioned. For LN I got gen insert and bezel, Noob dial is ok for me.. gen hands, xtal, DW and good to go !!

That will be an awesome watch :thumbup:

Uh? There's no talk about any 'shitty dial'?. The conversation is mostly about movement type and the overall consensus is it's great.

I think consensus is clear that noob is better for modding while arf is the best out of the box.
for everyone complaining about the SELs I would stick to ARF.

Why?

I find the rolex writing is to small look at the writing under it, it looks almost bigger where the Gens have very bold Rolex writing. I just see that directly noob did a better job here

Does somebody know if the ARF or noob v7 has raised writing on the dial? Looked very cool on older subs.

Which crystal are you talking about? Prof has a section here, gen needs to be found on your own.

PS- Smoke has some gen crystals he is shipping from London I believe.

I'll most likely be selling a gen crystal and hands when my v9 arrives. The whole fiasco has just put me off building this Franken, I'm happy with my yachtmaster and dj instead.

Hi,

I just received my QC pics - and given the recent sentiment that Ryan's new batch seems to have flush SEL's. I wanted to know if that was case here. I have asked for a more angled pic showing the side for depth of the recession but haven't received. Given the lighting of the current pics it looks like its pretty flush. Is this a GL or wait and hope for the best?
