Transition is awesome..looks a couple pages back on my macro shots I put up in pictures. The markings have a sparkle to them and is creamy. No flaking yet, time will tell. Not sure but we think noob is charging more only because the process of creating the insert. You can tell the new Batman is not as good, insert wise and still has the bump.

Thanks! just went back to look at them. its awesome. Its big money, but looks like a really good watch. Had a chap in RWG though, whose GMT 2 came, and the entire bezel assembly just fell off... if you are on that forum go have a read. Interesting and heartbreaking. Ah well, this is a rep industry anyway, with ifffy QC.

least of your worries , let me rank them in
.....
2. CHS timebomb movement you should ONLY adjust between 10-2 pm....

I thought you were supposed to NOT adjust between 22:00-02:00h .... (10PM-2 AM)

He's saying 10am - 2pm and you're saying NOT 10pm - 2am, not sure how that contradicts his post

Because you can still adjust at 3 PM, 4PM, 5PM, all the way down to 10PM. Or 22:00h.
AFAIK anyway, I am personally passing on this movement.
I have seen recommends (from KJ2020 if I remember correctly) to never adjust the date with "position 2" and always use "position 3" and just rotate all the hands until you get to the exact date.

As easily as the jumping hour spring breaks, I recommend using it only once, to initially set whatever offset you want between the hour hand and the GMT hand. After that, keep the watch on a winder and you only have to advance the date 5 times a year. On these occasions, I would advance the date using crown position 3.

I won't be using crown position 2 at all until after filing a slot on the mainplate to restore the quickset date feature. You can still have an offset between local time and GMT time if desired by pressing the hands accordingly. Then by removing one of the two GMT intermediate wheels the link between crown position 2 and the hour hand can be broken. So the jumping hour spring will never be utilized. The GMT hand and hour hand will then be locked together having correct individual rotation periods and with a permanent GMT hand offset unless the hands are re-pressed to something different. It's a trade off in that you lose the independence of the hour hand but it completely defuses the time bomb. You can still monitor 3 time zones using the bezel. And a nice added bonus of the quickset date feature being restored using crown position 2.

Of course this may all become a moot point if the A3186 will fit PROPERLY in the Noob case and the other big if - if it isn't Timebomb II, lol.

Dude, not planning to go through an instruction manual every time I want to change time and date, that's just ridiculous

To be fair, setting the date even on a gen GMT is a pain as there is no quick date set. Even on the gen you have to cycle the 24 hand twice to change the date once. Imagine going from the date 13 to the 4th. That’s a whole lot of crown turning. Keeping it on a winder as KJ2020 wisely suggested is the smart path here—even on a gen ;)

i wouldnt Get too worked up for it...you know how many times I’ve used the gmt function on my gen...almost never...and i travel a lot also..just use the bezel..much easier if needed. I get it though..you pay you want to use it..I’m just waiting to see if the new vrf movements are any good and if so can be easily swapped over as an option. Would be cooler just to find a stronger part that fails

Nice one bro. Odd, the 6 and 9 hour marker corners don't look as rounded as usual. The hand stack is a dead giveaway though. Noob's second and minute hand hole surrounds are almost the same size then it jumps to a noticeably larger than gen GMT hand hole surround. This has become my key ID point. Wouldn't have been fooled by BMW760's double Noob post if I'd used this reference point. Noob's hand hole surrounds are still good but nice to have a quick easy ID focus point to tell a gen.

Bezel transition is about as obvious as you can get. No? Or do you mean the movement?

Just got my watch back from @ado213 after a full service, regulation and installation of a gen crystal.
Wow, what a difference that crystal makes-it's quite mesmerizing staring into that clear cyclops!
Anyway, top man, top job if anyone needs any servicing or modding done. (He's UK based).

1-noob dial
2-gen dial comparison
3-GMF dial installed
4-noob vs GMf

gMF dial is great and more accurate but the lume application sucks..looks like a blind person applied the lume. The noob has much more of an even application on lume. Too bad the marking are just too big.

Thanks buddy. Sorry, I didn’t realise they were the regular 3135s.

To the guy who asked, I can get some Of these new in blister from rolex. Users Banana split and sub007 can too.

No worries bro. They are just glued on to the ETA 2824 CHS DW. Nice to know you can get them.

Not heard anything on my GMF dial yet , Shame about the lume is it that noticable in person ? Iv seen a lot of shitty gen lume so not a massive worry but still...

Are there any other makers with this GMT dial ?
