NOOB VS ARF - imho a rep should be judged from outside to inside: ARF Dial is better, ARF Clasp is better, ARF Bracelet is better, ARF Bezel is better etc. overall ARF SEL is better...

nobody will use the chrono ever or lets say not in 99,9999999% in the time you will wear and own it...

if someone wants a great daytona rep OOTB, ARF is the only option...

Joke of the day!

Eh, different strokes for different folks I guess. Personally, I feel if a rep does not function as the gen does then it's not worth buying.

Mine arrived today and thickness is 13.4mm.
Now I know why member complain of 1mm thicker to gen and want to shave down.
Even dial , bezel , hr maker are better 1mm thickness is not comfortable on the wrist.
I've read someone said when JF caseback install to ARF, its thinner.

Is that ture?

Please someone confirm.

The JF case back will fit but you will need to remove the decoration plate and fit a standard 7750 rotor.

Noob or JF caseback will fit.
You can shave down about .4 mm. Not more, the caseback
gets too thin and also the noise of the rotor gets louder. In my opinion the watch feels top-heavy when it is this thick.

Hi bro,
So, All I need is JF case back and 7750 rotor?
Do, I still need to shave that JF case back too?
If I do like you said, how much thickness can I reduce? .5 or .6?
Thanks.

Yes a JF case back, 7750 rotor and screw. Remove the deco plate and rotor, fit the new rotor with the new screw and screw the JF case back on. No need to thin it down. No idea mate, it’s thinner that’s all I know.

Specs? ARF dial and bezel and noob everything else?

Good eyes....I also have mounted some parts of the bracelet.
Noob clasp is ok, ARF is a little better but on the Noob V2 with
904 no needs to mod the bracelt. Clasp and SEL are very good.

I'll be receiving a 904 noob soon. I can't unsee the R O LEX font though. Is there a DIY solution to shave an ARF dial? I have a dremel.

Thanks. I've got the same thing planned (along with a set of gen hands) when my 904 Noob arrives. I noticed in my QC pics that the clasp does look better than on the 316 Noob daytona.

Did you use the ARF crystal as well? If so did you shave down the gasket at all or just use a shorter one?

I used the ARF crystal on my 116520 franken because it has single AR on the inside and that looks better on a black dial. My 116500 has standart noob crystal. All gaskets are shaved. You also could buy a 2.3 mm clark gasket.

Shaving the gasket is easy, just put it in the bezel, have the material which you want to shave look out of the bezel and then use a sharp nife to cut it.

here is the 116520 with ARF crystal
