Thank you both for these helpful replies...

So from what I have read, the following would be true for Noob SS Daytona Sub-dials?

- White 116520 SS Bezel is the best as the Silver Sub-dials look closest to Genuine.

- White 116500 Ceramic is okay but the Black Sub-dials are a little too wide.

- Black 116520 SS Bezel Silver Sub-dials are also too wide, but the contrast on a Black back ground makes them look worse.

- Black 116500 Ceramic look the worst, compared to Gen, as the Sub-dials are too wide and too shiny.
So even if the Sub-dials were the correct size, being too shiny would make then appear larger on a black background.

incorrect if you are saying about Noob Daytona.

White 116520 SS Bezel version’s dial has an error of the font position “T” from OYSTER PERPETUAL

The arf black dial for 116500 is not like gen!
116500 white and 116520 black and white are correct.
The black 116500 is like fake!!!

What makes you say that ? Any specifics about your observation would be very helpful

If the Black ARF Dial for a 116500 is so bad, why would modders like guru, who have hands on experience with both Genuine and Replica Daytonas, go to the time and expense to use this Dial for a 116500 project?

What's the big difference between a Black ARF 116500 Dial and Genuine?

So, other than the obvious price difference, what's the big physical or appearance difference between a Black ARF 116500 Dial and Genuine?

I am wondering also. The only small flau are the subdials, they are a little shiny on the ARF.

If guru says the ONLY small flaw is the sub dial being a LITTLE shinny, then you can imagine how small a flaw that must be. I’m sure only a trained eye would be able to spot especially on the wrist. From the pictures atleast the arf 116500 black dial looks damn good. Pretty much spot on and very close to gen

You are right
ARF dials are correct for for each version
NOOB is using the 116500 dial in the 116520 which is not correct
Attached the ARF dials for the 116500 built

Dear guru,

If I were to buy a Noob daytona now, ignoring my own color preference, which variant among the four is currently the closest to gen in your mind?

Thanks a lot for your expertise!

Regarding white ARF 116500LN, what do you think of V1 vs V2 bezel, dial and clasp? Which is better?

the 904 white 116520 is the best out of the box, fonds are not great, but bezel and clasp and SEL looks much better now. Subdials match gen.

Here are some pics about modding the crystal on a 116500 and how it should look. Gen is 12.4 mm.

Nice guru! The dream economical build. Can you comment on the lume.

1.) noob hands with arf dial - lume strength is match?

2.) gen lume vs noob or arf lume is it same or it needs a bit more strength?

Thanks
