Red font for Daytona is slightly different
Sub-dials are less shiny on 116500
Rolex spacing is slightly different on the 116500, more spaced out on the 116500
of course, just check out the position of the T of the OSTER below the ROLEX....
also, the subdials are not shiny......
So converting a 116520 with a ceramic bezel is ok but does not meet the gen 116500. I built one but I will use the dial in a 116520 and use a ARF 116500 dial in that built. Gen dials, if you get one, are 3k and I will not pay that.
Thank you both for these helpful replies...
So from what I have read, the following would be true for Noob SS Daytona Sub-dials?
- White 116520 SS Bezel is the best as the Silver Sub-dials look closest to Genuine.
- White 116500 Ceramic is okay but the Black Sub-dials are a little too wide.
- Black 116520 SS Bezel Silver Sub-dials are also too wide, but the contrast on a Black back ground makes them look worse.
- Black 116500 Ceramic look the worst, compared to Gen, as the Sub-dials are too wide and too shiny.
So even if the Sub-dials were the correct size, being too shiny would make then appear larger on a black background.
