Noob Daytona vs ARF Daytona

I know is gen, but is the "2 ticks" version from older models of 116520 (with the old clasp). Newer models has "1 tick" dial

There are also models with 2 ticks with New clasp but without Rehaut engraving and SuperLuminova available.
I have seen such GEN models.

To be than period correct, you can sand down the Rehault engraving

And yes, you can see also 2 tick dials at 2008/2009 models with Rehaut engraving and SL

The SL dials were before the Chromalight came.
But it is a nice and corrwcr dial

Your 1 tick dial is absolutely period correct.
1 tick with SL with Rehault engraving and Random serial no. ==>> perfect.

You have a perfect and period correct build

I don’t really care about 1tick, 2 tick to be honest. Mine is. SL obviously and is not going to be taken to a dealer or really close enough for anyone to care so it may not be strictly correct but I don’t care less.
The sels aren’t perfect in a blown up pic but on the wrist they are perfectly acceptable????????

You have no idea about 1 and 2 tick, there are some 2 tick with SL but most of them have CL. CL was introduced in 2014. I agree to botsy, the SEL is good, I like it better then ARF. ARF is not recessed at all. On macro pics it looks like some have gaps, but on the wrist it is nice, better then ARF. Here is my 2 tick !!!! with CL from 2015.

Yes, correct. It is an older dial which went into production when CL was introduced.

That's good to know. I didn't know that but now I see what you mean. I thought 16520 and 116520 were interchangeable but I guess not. Difference is small but I see it.

I had a spare gen bezel lying around so changed it today to the correct 6 digit version. It's got some signs of wear but I think that makes it more "period correct" .

For someone that is used to wearing ceramic bezel models I must say seeing the mirror polish bezels on these daytonas takes some getting used to (and those hairline scratches!).

Specs: ARF base serviced 7750, gen dial, gen crystal, gen gasket, gen bezel, shortened pushers, reshaped lugs.

mine also is a ARF v2 base and what i really don’t like are the pushers screws (too deep in the case hole)

It's my favourite example so far. Bezel looks amazing. I liked the old bezel personally! If you want to sell it let me know so I can look at my bank balance, laugh and politely decline
