We could find out what rolex uses to plate their inserts. I don't have access to my universitie's radio spectrometer anymore, but maybe someone else with a gen insert has?
I once put my Noob V1 in it for fun to see if it really was 316 steel and it was lol

Mine is also a bk. I made a mess of removing the bezel and popped the crystal out. I sent the entire watch head to spongebob. He cleaned the dial, installed the crystal and bezel and returned it to me.

I'm a total noob as well but it went fine for me.

obviously lol he uses platinum. I use paint mine is cheap his is expensive. What do you expect ha ah
