That depends who was calling it out. There will be tells, its a replica.

i understand.

But how about the average rolex user or someone who is semi-informed/knowledgeable of the DSSD? Don't think the average person can tell that's for sure

Rolex reps will all have tells, and any Gen owner would probably know the tells anyway.
If you want more more gen like watches go for AP's or Hublot.

Im sorry but That's completely false. I have several gen Rolexs, including a yg Daytona, and unless u are looking at the watch extremely closely u can't tell the difference (yes even on the Daytona). I virtually always buy the rep before I buy the gen in order to get a feel if the watch is really for me before I shell out thousands, and I'm astounded at the accuracy of today's reps.
FYI the reality is that for most of us who are blessed with the ability to buy Gens, don't look or care to look for tells on someone else's watch. I virtually always assume its real, it's the person wearing it that's the real tell.......

More like: Most people will assume and/or ask if your Rolex is rep, regardless of Gen or Rep.

Gen Rolex owners get "Called out" as much as Rep owners.

Bottom line, get what you want.

True enough. All you have to do is look at the numbnuts on TRF who either post a rep or get scammed- lots and lots of "great watch" congrats" looks great!" posts before someone who is obsessed with looking for dependencies finally says something. Also keep in mind that those people have the luxury of staring at the photos for along time, comparing them to gen photos etc before making their announcement.

If you can't "own it" then chances are you don't own it...

This is the truth of the matter:

"I virtually always assume its real, it's the person wearing it that's the real tell......."

Well said...very well said. I would much rather compliment a nice timepiece than worry about its authenticity.

New to the replica world. Looking through all DSSDs and came across Saeds and Ryan's ( http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/noob-rolex-dweller-121035 ). To me they look identical can someone point out which is better and why (aside from the sapphire Chrystal and movement and possibly stainless steel 316l vs 316F) I'm talking about strictly looking at the watch. Are they both fairly identical and almost a match for the gen?? Thanks guys.

Mike, better off posting this question as a topic than asking in a dealers sales thread. If you're lost you can PM me and i'll try to point you in the right direction.
