Don't blame tapatalk. As we always say around here... "It's not the equipment. It's the operator!" Considering you couldn't set the date you don't have a lot of credibility blaming tapa. Lol

That being said, yes that strap will look great with the cf 1661. And it's a good call for the summer too imo.

Tapatalk does that a lot. Never believe it when it says there was an error with your post lol. With that said, I'll be looking forward to seeing the strap in pics once you get it! Looks cool :D

Guys, pardon my stupidity, but what's the diameter of the screwdriver needed to remove the strap? the holes seem so small.

Is it a screw or a spring bar? Have you tried pushing a pin or something small in there to see if you can pop it out?

The 1661 is a spring bar model like the 1616. Which is weird for a Panerai. So just use any spring bar release tool and release it from the inside of the lugs.

Thats what I've been expecting anyway.

Looks great, congrats! Are there any similarities in terms of the material used in the Rep strap? Or is it night and day/apples and pears?

Thanks!
Well it’s kind of night and day since the actual gen strap also looks like it’s made of some sort of rubber.

And the gen strap I purchased is made of canvas.

Here are some comparison pics:

Oh durrrrr!!!! Sorry, I was confusing it with another strap I have from the Mike Horn (that still isn't canvas, but has the same inlaid part as your watch). Ignore me! Thanks for the pics though.
