Wow, a folded oyster, that is really cool to know. the 5513 I converted to a Snowflake has the 91350 cartel rep and I just dropped $60 or so on a 7836 folded oyster rep from Mary on rwg.cc or maybe it was homagewatch. I'm looking forward to it but having a folded to begin with would have been nice.

Great thread guys.

As a former owner of a franken rep of the 9411 and a current owner of the genuine piece, this isn't that great.

Lets go through the list

- Dial is not great - overly long chapter markers, fonts wrong - Question for the guys who have bought it, is the dial 26mm like the genuine?
- handset not great - all too long
- Caseset not great - from memory the 9411 is smaller than the 5513 casing

The only good thing is the engraving on the backcase. They have modelled it after the early 80's model where the font is thinner and stretched out more.

good base perhaps but seems like alot of replacing parts to get this up to scratch.

And that's exactly the thing, I want to know, how to do that.

No tutorial found right now.
cal8500 I have posted a tutorial on 7836 adjustment to this section (Tudor) for everyones use. Enjoy!

Nice summary Marrickville and all good points. One other positive is that the JKF case has plenty of meat on the crown guards for a nice shape job. Also the price point is perfect for someone looking to try a tudor. There is no doubt though that you can get more accurate cases from vietnam, yuki watch, or Phong. The prices will just go up in that order as well. $450, $750 and $1200. So at the $230 price point this is a winner! I may do a modified version to see just how close I can get to gen.

It would be a fun project!

If the case is correctly engraved (serial number + 9411), it's possible a good base for a modding project.

In my opinion : Reworked crown guard + gen crown + good dial and handset = Very good snowflake rep !

Very nice! Is the bezel insert gen?
Nope rep
I like that strap sigfrieds where did you source it? A 22mm version of that would be nice on the black bay bronzo.

Has someone try if they fit 26mm dials?
I think this is really an important thing to know

Thanks sir...

The bad news is even though the caseback is engraved, it still has the incorrect caseback shape. It is missing that groove that runs around the caseback teeth.
