New Tudor pelagos is coming

I bought the blue Thorn on AliExpress for about $180. It's a great watch with a well-regulated Pt5000 movement and made entirely of titanium. Unfortunately, there's no quick adjustment on the clasp, and no "Tudor" on the dial.



The sunburst effect is very visible in harsh light or direct sun (almost too much), but not so much in normal light. Personally, I think the ZF Pelagos without sunburst would suit me better – for a tool watch, it doesn't need to sparkle. This would be my first "serious" rep purchase; before this, I've only had gens (nothing expensive), homages, or DHgate reps. I'm still not sure where to order it from. The slight difference in color between the hands and indices is also making me hesitate a bit.



On the Thorn, the indices are just a tiny bit yellower/darker than the hands, but it doesn't bother me – it's only noticeable in certain lighting situations.

Sunburst.... seems like Gen - hard to find - in direct light. Definitely not matte.

just going through this thread and well this seems like it have sunburst so Im still unsure if its missing it or not some photos/videos appear to have a slight sunburst effect whilst others show no sign of it

I’ve ordered the ZF Pelagos 39 from Puretime. I‘m awaiting the 3rd set of QC shots. 1st had a flaw on the dial, a scratch running through the “C” of Certified. 2nd had a flaw on the bezel, a scratch @ “20”, plus an endlink that was missing a corner on the underside.
In the meantime I ordered two homage watches from Watchdives and they arrived today. Proportions similar to the 39, with recessed indices similar to the 42. Stainless steel, no sunburst, no date, with a Seiko VH31 quartz movement. Great quality and finish for a daily beater considering they cost a 3rd of the price of the ZF.

Very. Despite not having the sunburst dial - I think its a fantastic watch.

I had it in hand , mine matched fine, I didn't even notice it whatsoever. Retail also isn't perfect
