I bought the blue Thorn on AliExpress for about $180. It's a great watch with a well-regulated Pt5000 movement and made entirely of titanium. Unfortunately, there's no quick adjustment on the clasp, and no "Tudor" on the dial. šŸ˜‰

The sunburst effect is very visible in harsh light or direct sun (almost too much), but not so much in normal light. Personally, I think the ZF Pelagos without sunburst would suit me better ā€“ for a tool watch, it doesn't need to sparkle. This would be my first "serious" rep purchase; before this, I've only had gens (nothing expensive), homages, or DHgate reps. I'm still not sure where to order it from. The slight difference in color between the hands and indices is also making me hesitate a bit.

On the Thorn, the indices are just a tiny bit yellower/darker than the hands, but it doesn't bother me ā€“ it's only noticeable in certain lighting situations.
The Thorn right now can be had for $123 on sale. Crazy good price.

After a bit of a delay, I finally got my ZF P39, overall Iā€™m super happy with this piece, but as others have mentioned, the bracelet is a bit sharp in some places but people on the Tudor forums also have the same complaint with their gens.

Compared to my VSF 126610, itā€™s definitely lower quality, but thatā€™s to be expected. The VSF bracelet and clasp is buttery smooth after an oil bath. The ZF clasp can be tricky to latch, but that may be an issue with my specific unit.

I donā€™t mind the matte dial, the ā€œyellowā€ hands look way worse in photos than in person, and Iā€™ve seen numerous posts on Tudor forums showing similar hands to the ZF so no complaints there.

I did a bracelet oil bath right away which always helps, I also checked the main case seal and found the case back was not super tight and the seal was dry, so I lubricated it and re tightened the case back.

The lume is phenomenal on it as well, and in prefer the 60 click bezel opposed to the 120 click sub bezel.

Overall, I really adore this piece, I donā€™t wear my VSF much since it feels too flashy for me. If this watch were stainless, itā€™d be perfect for me, but like I said I still love it.

Looks good. I've been waiting 2 and a half weeks for QC pics. One of the earlier posters said he used a "ceramic stone" to smooth off the sharp edges on the strap. I might try a similar thing using one of those cardboard emery boards women use to shape their fingernails.

Mo Time (he is a TD on r/reptime, not sure about RWI). His price is $390 shipped but I talked him down slightly since Iā€™ve purchased from him before. I know Andoit has it for about $350 shipped, but Iā€™m impatient and donā€™t like to wait 2-3 weeks.

Good to know, I missed that thanks! Definitely will be looking into knocking off those corners.

Anyone wanting a homage, I just picked up a Seestern with a ETA Clone and sunburst dial/bezel for $200 on Aliexpress' 11.11 sale.

Can't stand the tacky "Seestern" name. Additionally, the end links on the bracelet fit poorly to the case (IMO) and the clasp doesn't compare to Tudor's (which also has a divers extension). I don't care too much for a sunburst dial as well, for a completely "dull" titanium look, the bezel is already too much, don't need more. To each his own I guess!

I just got it today and while I get what you're saying, I only see one of the things you mention. To each their own.

Finally had some news today after I emailed the TD saying that I've been waiting 3 weeks for QC pics. Seems the person I sent the money to "forgot" to tell him that they'd picked up the money. To say I'm a bit pissed off is an understatement. Well, I know who I WON'T be buying from next time.

Chiming in here because I didn't actually want a whole new watch (I have the TUF rep on rubber strap), especially with the lack of sunburst on the ZF dial (sue me, I think the sunburst on the TUF looks awesome). I asked around and the answer was a resounding NO for buying just the ZF metal bracelet, and I didn't really know what to do. I was in the process of buying the IXDAO titanium bracelet since they're the only "homage" with a true 21mm lug width supposedly, but their clasp design (no on the fly micro adjust, massive "IXDAO" text engraved on it) nearly made me gag. I found a potential suitable clasp replacement, although it was steel, but all in would have cost me around 100 USD for a bit of a gamble. As soon as I placed my order I suddenly stumbled upon this listing for a 21mm titanium strap on aliexpress. It's probably way overpriced (177 USD right now) but It looks to be an unbranded tudor pelagos 39 bracelet, and so I went ahead and canceled the other orders and bought this one. I will update when it arrives to let you all know if it fits the TUF rep. Hopefully it matches the color/tone of the case and all that. No reviews on the aliexpress listing, so i'm not sure what to expect, but fingers crossed its good!

OK this is braveā€¦
well this is the first time I've seen a listing for the exact bracelet I wanted so I had to risk it- besides, I think Aliexpress does have relatively good buyer protection. Even if I do get screwed, I've definitely spent 200 dollars on dumber things... I anticipate that it won't be perfect quality, I'm guessing it's really worth around 100 USD but being sold for substantially more due to rarity of the listing.

to all owners of ZF P39, are u happy with it?
Honestly I love it. I bought a ZF from friend. Its perfect, the only real issue is the matte dial. Is not so evident but is the only real difference. If ZF will replace with correct dial I'll buy it again.

Been rocking this on the wrist for about a week now: ZF Pelagos 39mm. No sunburst in sightā€”thank goodness! Maybe if youā€™re standing directly under the sun at high noon in July, you might catch a glimpse. But hey, even my dogā€™s black fur has a sunburst in the right light. šŸ¤£

All in all, itā€™s a fantastic pieceā€”superbly made (justā€¦ donā€™t inspect the inside of the clasp too closely, okay? šŸ˜‰). Running about +10 seconds a day, which I can live with.

The adjustable clasp? Works like a charm. Lume? Absolute torch. Bezel? Smooth 60-click action, and everything lines up perfectly. What more could you ask for?

For me, this is a solid NWBIG. But hey, to each their own!

Mine just came in. I am a bit OCD for the alignment of the bezel insert so i am gonna try to fix the 1/10 mm misalignment. I measured mine on the timegrapher and over 6 positions it has a 9 seconds deviation (+2/-4/+3/+3/+5/0), so +1,5 sec/day. I am very curious if it will be that accurate after a few days. Bezel action is fine but it has some backplay. Will see if I can fix that when I realign the bezel insert.

Yes, its amazing.

But believe me, under light, the matte dial is visible! So, I read about the TUF version, what do you think about it? The dial looks like with right color.
