is the 3135 made for people to buy and sell on as genuine ?
the more popular movement on this website seems to be the 2836 , so there must be a bigger market for people buying these to sell on and they can open the case back to say "look it is genuine"
any thoughts ?

maybe I have this movement mixed up with another one , I was sure that the one I am thinking of is less reliable than a 2836.

Sa3135 and a3135 look like bullshit nothing like gen 3135 any sane person will know its fake.i only like gen swiss 2836
In your opinion would it be better to go for the BK v4 with the swiss 2836 and then do a PP mod myself (or send it off to vac for a few mods)?

Swiss is the way to go .if you really like how noob has painted the insert get a bk v5.if not get a bk v4 and do my anitas mod that destroys the noob silver paint and the v4 has the correct dial.v5 dial layout is from the v3 its wrong

I don't get why they would make this watch in 3135 and not the more popular 2836 .
they did the same with the explorer1 that came out about 6 months ago ,it is still not available in 2836

How does your anitas mod hold up so far? I'm planning to get a good WP mod done on my sub and will go swimming with it from time to time.
WBK has a E1 with a Asian movt in it that is gen, except for the dial wasn't matte and the lume wasn't the same as the gen in color. Other than that it was super nice for his asking price.
No way! The 2824 is just as good a movement, and would both make the case shape more accurate and allow installation of a Y3135 (or gen for the more ambitious frankeners). But between A3135 and a normal 2836, I'm with you.
I have been staying away from the forum for a few months now to remove the temptation, but this just brought me out of retirement. A platinum/silver engraved sub c insert? It's about f---king time!!! Anyway, it looks great to me!!! Honestly, you can nitpick all you want, but no one will notice these tiny niggles in the real world. It's no secret that Rolex makes small changes to its watches all the time. Fonts, alignment etc. can vary from batch to batch, year to year over the course of a model run. Go to a dealer that sells some pre-owned sub-c's (and has 4 or 5 in inventory) and look at a few of them side by side. You'll see plenty of the same tiny variations in dials, rehaut engravings, and even to the case itself.
Also, it's no secret that Rolex uses the same old stock photos for years, even though plenty of small changes were made to the gens coming out of the factory. You know why they do this? Because no one gives a sh*t and no one will notice! If you buy a gen watch from an AD, you don't care and won't look for or notice these differences because gen is gen. Rep geeks, however, want the most accurate copy so we hyper focus on minutia. Frankly, some of the things guys complain of as flaws on many reps are based on mistakes and bad assumptions by "expert" members that are accepted as fact and are repeated by less experienced members as if the misinformation were gospel. Newbies swallow this crap up from the advanced beginner members pretending to be gurus. I don't know that to be the case in this instance, but I bet if you examined the v5 rep next to the gen sample used to make the v5 (v4), you'd be blown away by the level of accuracy.
Anyway, the art of counterfeiting the sub-c has reached new heights. Is the V5 a "super rep"? Maybe not by today's standards, but we would have easily named it a super rep 3 years ago. I haven't had a sub-c since the v1 launched, but I may have find some space in my box soon (and my box is tight at the moment!).
As for the 2824 being as good as a 2836, I have to disagree. It's not even close actually. The 2836 is a much more robust movement. This is true for both reps and gens. The keyless is more solid and the date wheel mechanism is much more reliable. The 2824 has a thinner, lower profile, but the 2836 is far less likely to give you grief.

Yep. And it looks great. I have swum a few times (pool) and I've also tamen a cew showers with it. No problem at all.
