The possibilities that I actually got shipped a 42mm version are improving... looks like it probably is a BLS release and not an "OF". Release details says it's available with gen SW200 which is how i got mine. Should arrive later this week.

I'm very intested in seeing these bls superoceans compared to the tf factory. I think we all know that the orignal factory watches were actually tf watches. The white dial looks way better the the tf. The tf was more creamy, this bls iis white like the gen.

The orange dial version I was hoping for just looks sad, the bezel engraving/filling is just so bad

Oh my after further inspection these BLS 42mm are absolute rubbish IMO…I was hoping for a decent 42mm release but this is not it. Alignment is soooo bad, bezel engraving is horrible, number printing and on and on.

Whatever the finish is, I'll take it, excellent watch for the summer. It's been a long time I'm not looking at the possible replication flaws, the most important IMO is how credible the watch looks. So indeed, flaws in the finish are a concern.
Have a look at all colours to check this filling. Pictures may be misleading.

I wish, they all look bad. Hopefully it’s only a batch issue and some QC might clarify

Got my watch... the chinese calipers are either very inaccurate or a well known TD on here took a very misleading measurement on purpose. Either way there is no section of this case that is remotely 42mm...

I suspect they won't take the watch back or refund me which means it will be for sale in the FS section soon.

Maybe you wish to have the case studied by the RWI team and open a ticket, this is an obvious attempt to mislead a member, and post a review in his section.
I believe this deserves a shipment back and refund. At least a discount covering your potential loss in the sales section.

Disappointing that it's 44mm, though not surprised based on how it was being measured. Hopefully the BLS version is decent. It does use an Asian 2824 movement instead of the SW200.

I've been using verniers for over 30 years and the only people I've seen using one like to measure a diameter are week old apprentices. It's clearly not measuring across the widest part of the bezel

I completely agree, we have all been wanting the 42mm version. And then it magically appeared with a photo intended to deceive the 44mm was a 42mm, not exactly “trusted behaviour“ from a TD.

To be clear though I was only quoted by CTime that it is 42mm (based on the measurement photo), a month earlier they said only 44mm was available…so I did not order as I thought they were full of sh!t.

@cyprusdaedalus was the one who got screwed over here in ordering.

I’m sure CTime would just say it was now it was measured which is completely BS.
