The green looks great. Has anyone recieved their 42mm bls version? We need to see some real life pics.

It was quite long for my QC too, at least longer than usual (12 days). Now it's on its way.

So here it is (y)

42mm, no doubt.

Sapphire confirmed, the AR is good to very good, I won't use an aftermarket ar coating.

120 clicks, could be sharper.

The lume is strong and so far seems not to fade too fast.

I do love the strap, which makes the watch look more sporty. Question of taste. Also I do love the Breitling clasp with integrated micro adjustment "à la Ocean Racer". As for the OR, the strap is not extremely easy to resize, I swapped the spring bars (on the clasp side) to ease the operation.

Satisfied, for I waited this one for a long time. I was in love as soon as Breitling issued this new model.

However I'm disappointed by the PT5000. I changed my mind about it : it used to be seen as a very accurate ETA clone, but it is the third watch where I have troubles with it. (2 reps, one gen) Too much variations according to the position. Maybe it needs service, but as for the others, I won't go into this trouble and swap it with t Seagull clone, which I consider now better.

I'd be interested in having your experiences, to know if the PT5000 which are used for reps are true ones or second choice.

The bezel engravings are silver, looking white in plain light

There is no movement option so far, but again, it'd be interesting to know the experience of the other PT5000 owners on this particular model.

Anyone have any idea as to if the 42 will be eventually offered with the bracelet like the 44?

Pix , is that a gloss dial or matte on the 42? Looks gloss but could be crystal reflections in the picture. I can't tell. Trusty time pics look matte. The TF44 blue and black have more matte dials. Gens, of the blue and black have gloss. Green and orange have more matte in gen so rep 44mm tf rep is accurate in those. Also the turquoise has gloss in gen but matte in TF version. I want all of these darn it, lol. I've kind of grown attached to my 44mm matte blue dial which wears amazing. Best wearing 44mm I've ever had. So slim. Feels great on the wrist. The bracelet is awesome. Never sized the rubber strip I bought along with it yet. Did I mention I want all of these? Each color brings something different to the table.

TBH I did not even pay attention. I'll tell you exactly, with pictures, when it's back from the watchsmith. (having the movement swapped)

Damn swapped already, was it no good or just an upgrade?

Now I‘m nervous for mine…not that I have received it yet:(

Easier to swap than to service.

It does not mean all have problems, it's just my experience.
These are reps, don't forget that.
Eventually the only movements I rely on 100% are the Miyotas... 9015 if possible.
And ST19 for chronos : I have some which held 10 years before being serviced.

Approved my QC for the Orange dial BLS 42mm, I can’t tell on the gen if it’s matte or glossy nor on the rep so I guess I’ll find out in a few weeks. Not that it matters I’m good either way.

Interesting. the Miyota 9015 is my least favorite. I've had problems with maybe 3 of the 8 or so I've had. And it just feels gritty when winding to me. I like the old 8215 series a lot better. I don't think I've ever had a problem with that movement and I have a soft spot for the little underappreciated engine that could, lol.

I can't wait to see more pictures when these come in.

True, Miyotas are noisy. :devilish:

So far no problem with them, including 9015 gen or rep.
TBH, even the Seiko movements would be good to see more in our reps : so ugly but bullet proof. And of course low beat.
I like today's reps much more than those from 10-15 years ago, improvements have been huge. But the development of clone movements made it more difficult regarding reliability.
Sh*t happens, fortunately replacement movements have become widely available.
