That would be an incredible contribution. Which mods are you getting done in it?
Thanks buddy. I'll do my best. I have arranged with him that we do the photo session hehe, let's see.

I'm getting a movement service first of all for longevity, and waterproofing. Then he will chamfer the sides of the lugs, so they aren't that sharp. Also he will polish the sides of the case and bracelet, so it feels smoother. And he will polish the edge of the bezel, so the angle isn't so sharp, but more rounded.
And then the crown jewel will be replacing the moon disk to a gen and maybe raising it a bit if possible.

The deep rehaut couldn't be improved unfortunately.

You are correct. The biggest problem here is that most people go by gen pictures. Look at the gen closeup. It's not as magnificent as the pics. Gen Pateks are also known to have misaligned markers which people here call a reason to reject QC

Yep. That applies to Rolex too. I mean I am new here. But I simply googled Rolex rehaut misaligned or even datewheel misaligned. Basically every other gen Rolex has one of the two. So technically those are not even flows at all at this point.

I think my biggest surprise was that everything was where it was supposed to be. Before I took off the dial I was kinda expecting to see a "unique" way they made the power reserve, date and moonphase work. Kinda like how they did on the V1.
Hey @DerpyOfficer thanks again for your incredibly helpful pictures. How did you disassemble the case? A few of the other watchmakers and I will be receiving this watch to service, and it's unclear how to disassemble the caseback. Any pointers?

It does not look like a screwback (like 5711), and does not look the same as the ref 5726 for case assembly.

There is a video showing someone else servicing this movement but conveniently skips over disassembly and assembly of the case. Any advice or pics are appreciated.

Hello, I'm new to the group. I got the V2 version and from the looks that people have been telling me, they don't even suspect a thing. All I get are praises.I'm just curious though, where can I buy the moon phase? I was thinking of replacing it as well. But honestly, without reading the comments and whatnot, I wouldn't even notice the moon phase was off. But I guess if you have the V1 and compare it to the V2, then that's the time you can say it's off?

Lol it been a few days since I opened mine up, but I wanted to be sure to give y'all the correct information. So I re opened up mine. It may not look like it, but it's a counter clockwise screw down case back.

I just use a grippy deflated case ball to remove the back. I have on order a set of soft rubber case back tools that should work better especially when it comes to tightening back up. But it works in the interim. Hope that helps y'all out @majwilliams0308 ! Let me know if I can provide more images!

Congrats on the new piece. Try depressing the button at 8:00 slowly and let it release fully before depressing again. The movement is incremental but should work, at least it did for mine.

Are you sure it isn’t moving? It moves 1/59th rotation in a day. It should move an increment at around 3am. Or when you press it’s pusher.

I pushed the pusher but no response so I will leave it be and see if it moves in time

True... i have a gen 5711 white... and as compared to the finish of my ap15400 ZF the difference is thats is polished more better and its much cleaner so dust or spec ,IF you have a microscope but from the naked eye.. its really hard to see the difference..unless there is a person wearing the same gen watch and you are doing wrist shots together...

I would assume ppf and zf would have par quality of finish... so my expectations of fit and finish would be my zf 15400 as baseline

What do people use as a pusher for the moon phase? Would a sim card pin do the job? Thanks
