new SW dial

Judging by the correct lume shape at 6 o'clock, looks like you also have PPF hour markers?

What do u guys think SWF dial, hands and pinion mods and vsv movement engravings but more than twice the price of a base PPF?
Recently this has been discussed in other 5712 threads. Some forum members claimed the same or better result could be achieved with modders at lower or the same price.

Hi guys.
Advice needed. Do anyone know where to get parts for the rep cal 240?

The clutch wheel part No.407 broke while it was in my watchmakers custody. We are now looking for that part.

If anyone knows of a discarded rep movement or other ways I could get the part, please let me know. Thanks.

Either find a broken 5712 or ask a TD to buy a movement... Unfortunately this happens frequently with this watch

I talked to the watchmaker he says it’s not possible to get full movement or parts from the TDs.
So the only chance would be if someone sees this thread and has a movement for parts.

Isn't a gen part compatible with the rep movement?

As long as the PPF movement is less than a gen clutch. Otherwise the gen clutch is FAR more reliable. Issue is the teeth on the clutch of the rep are pretty fine, compared to the gen which have far more strength. Sorry this happened, way too common a fault.

I haven’t looked further than comparing the pics of the gen vs the rep mvmt teardown clutch, but I’d be surprised if the gen is plug & play in the rep movement. They look different enough to cause issues. Love to know if someone has tried it though!

Yes. It’s exactly this one.
Before you buy, please check the CTime thread to see if they're even compatible!! Don't waste ya money just yet

Might be better to either :

  1. Buy a new 5712 to strip for spare parts, part out the watch, sell the rest
  2. Look into obtaining the new 1.5k free sprung super movement

Yes that’s the issue. I’m not sure if anyone has tried it yet.

Thanks for the link. I can see they look pretty different the gen and rep part 407. Probably won’t fit.

I’ll ask the watchmaker how he thinks we should proceed.

First he broke my genuine moon phase (cost me 800€). Which he partly compensated by offering the mods free of charge. So I sent him a keylog74 moon phase, which I also paid for. This cost me around 950€ (his mods would’ve been 600€). So I took the extra hit.

Now this part broke while the watch was in his custody. I expect him to solve it.
I honestly don’t have a bank vault I can pull money out of, every time he breaks my watch. There must be some obligations towards customers when you are a Trusted Watchmaker on this forum.
