On another note - does anyone know if a Hirsch curved end strap like the Principal would fit the 5007?
http://www.hirschstraps.com/collections/curved-ended-hirsch-straps

These look like they'd be too far from the case?

Sadly even if this fits it won't take the deployment clasp :( I am struggling mightily to find a strap with curved ends. I'm finding it next to impossible to track down a curved end strap that I can get the deployment clasp into.

Where are you guys ordering your curved end straps? Would love some pix and links to some nice croc and gator straps.

You can use straight end strap to fit, it wont be as good as curved end strap but it fit nicely. You need the curve bar + straight strap and that will do.

Yeah I totally want the curved ends. It really makes a huge difference to the smooth integrated look.

I've hunted through here and over at WatchUSeek but can't find a decent supplier list of curved end straps that fit the IWC 5007

Custom made is your choice, check out RWI Strap maker section. Peter and Orloff are few I know who can made them with a reasonable price.

well, smooth integration doesn't made much difference compare to straight strap at least from my point of view.

This brown strap from StrapViet has straight ends (but using the curved pins) and doesn't look too bad. I'm waiting for a custom curved end from Jacob

That looks great. Is that a straight strap with straight spring bars?

Just noticed on my new 5007 that the minute hand is curved toward dial is this a defect? I can't imagine it's supposed to be bent

Would someone be so kind as to summarize the main improvements from v1 to v2 and then v3? There is just too many pages to read and I do not have the time now. Thank you very much in advance.

The rep strap really is poor. My holes are opening up and tearing already (7 days old) and the feel is like cheap plastic.

I've got some enquiries out to custom strap makers now.

Most rep straps are poor. Normally the best upgrade to any rep watch that comes with a strap is to get a decent strap.

Could not agree more. Quite frankly, I did not see any rep strap yet not being a crap strap. ;)

Edit: I mean the leather ones of course. Most rubber straps, au contraire, are remarkably good, if not close to perfect.

+1 regarding rubber rep straps. My Ceragold PO rubber strap was gen like (but I still swapped it for an OEM croc!)
