Date is fine, 10 is slightly off but can be fix by watch Smith. Tbh, most ZF has the 10 like that so no matter how many times you reject it still will be the same. My advice is once received the watch get a watch Smith to check out the movement and do the index if you like. So if I were you I will take it.

I understand its just this is by far the most expensive rep i have ever bought. I purchased a gen santoni strap the whole watch will run me near 800$ so i just want to try to get is as good as possible out of box bec id rather not run around to watch smiths and hope it can be fixed..

Apologies but I took the liberty of putting some grids on in PS: Very difficult to judge because of perspective distortion in the image and the light, but I think you might be correct about the 10...the 1 does look low / misplaced. Not sure about the 4 also. Certainly worth raising your concerns and at least requesting further images.

The 1 at 10 clearly is crooked, visible with the naked eye but very obvious with the grid lines over it. For whatever reason the ZF assembly guys seem to be a real bunch of clowns, and personally I'd reject it. There is no excuse for keeping that shitty assembly despite of so many complaints already.

However indeed anything else seems to be ok, so it's a personal decision to have it fixed by a watchsmith, since any ZF watch has to be serviced by a watchsmith on arrival anyway.

Can I ask what is likely to be so wrong with it out of the box it needs servicing straight away?

I'm waiting on one of these now from the ZF factory and I'm interested in what I'd be asking a watchsmith to look at on a brand new watch.

What would they do? And what would one of these need?

Clean, oil and check the movement.

Clean, oil and check the movement.

Thanks. Are they likely to be that dirty? I'm new to buying reps so I'm a bit surprised this watch is likely to be arriving with dirty insides and needing a service.

Should I not be expecting much of a lifespan out of my IWC Portuguese 5007?

Mine arrived today (very quick delivery) and it is gorgeous. It's funny, people all say the strap is crap and I thought "oh come on how crap can it be!?"

....you were all correct. It's pretty crap!
:)

But on the whole after I add a decent croc strap this is a stunning watch.

Just received my watch it's beautiful im just vry frustrated that the numbers are crooked especially the 11 its hard to see from photos but quite obvious in person.. When I requested for a new watch the dealer told me i was crazy to say that it's crooked and he refused to get me a new one but it does still bother me. How easy is it to get the numbers straightened out?

Rumours are it's an easy fix for any watchsmith, did not try this myself though.

Ok thank you. I dont have a "professional" watch smith that i work with. Although theres a kiosk at a mall near me with watch repair that seems pretty decent. Its a its called jewelry docs and they service all brand name watches so i hope they can fix this too

My prediction is you'll be sorry. Or better outcome is that they tell you they can't make the numbers straighter and send you away. Either way, good luck.

Not sure what TD you used but Mine was a ZF factory and it didn't have a hologram sticker or the black "IWC" sticker on the back.

Mine had a ZF tag but I'd say one of us didn't get a ZF watch. My numbers look straighter too I'd say. Wonder if there are just differences in the way TD's ship ZF watches. But we must have bought on almost the same day.

I got mine from intime there pretty reliable l. Mine also came with zf tag.. it's definitely not yfl factory bec quality of movement plates are much better... I think your td probably took off stickers before they shipped it to you thats all
