Ah, good spot, well its an improvement so I guess you could call it an updated V3. Anybody else know anything about a V4, I know some of you have links to the Chinese rep factories and can get inside infoI know the rg versions came out and the only difference i see is on the movement .the pieces that hold the movement down used to be gold. now there matte silver which is correct for this movement but i dont think this is a v4..

Hi guys PLEASE HELP me. Can you check this Portuguese for me please. I paid $400 for it and i think there are like a million flaws on it. What do you guys think? I drew lines on it and the 10 and the 2 don’t look level to me, i mean the 10 looks way lower. And i think the 11 is back to front and the 1 is upside down. What do you guys think? Plus there are two fives on the dial and there like totally different shapes, the one at the bottom is a different colour to all the others and i think it looks different from yesterday too. When I bought it i thought it was going to be 10:08, but they sent me one that keeps changing all the time and it’s only been 10:08 like four times since I got it two days ago. What do you guys think, should I send it back. I’ve just looked at the back and theres a bit that’s not even attached, it just swings around. Have I been ripped off??? What do you guys think? Please help.
Question regarding the RG plating on most of these reps. Will the plating eventually wear off and dull? Curious what some of the others experiences have been. Thank you in advance.
I have a number of RG plated reps and have never had problems with any of them. Just treat them well and they should still look like new after many years.
I wear at least one of them once or twice a week. I don't have a manual job so they don't get knocked around, but over the years I've never had any of them fading or losing their plating. I suppose if it was daily beater and not cared for, then maybe there could be a problem of this happening(?). Just saying that personally all of my RG's have been excellent quality and still look reasonably new.But do you waer them? Daily?...
And therein lies the answer to all the PR issues. There's just no need to wind the watch more than a 5th of the reserve. The rotor will keep the watch wound and working for as long as it's on your wrist. But some people just have to go ape on the PR and crank it to the limit. From my own observation, I think the halfway point is the absolute limit. Anything over that is just asking for trouble.
I would send it back if you are not happy with it. Email the TD with your issues
Thanks guys, I reached out to Abe at 121topswissgen.com to see about getting my watch fixed. And just in case, i asked him if he was a scammer and he said he wasn't and to prove it he gave me a discount on his Online Gullibility Test, its usually $150 and I only paid $75. The result said I was not gullible at all
Anyways Ive sent him the watch and a $100 admin fee which he has to charge because the Nigerian government says so. I didn't even know Nigeria was in China. He says he'll make sure all the flaws are fixed and if im not happy he'll send me a 1:1 Sub free of charge. What a nice guy.
