Let's be honest most people on this forum don't have the lifestyle to afford a gen. It's unlikely someone will spot 0.4mm as you load Tesco carrier bags into the back of a 1997 Honda Accord... Let's lighten up about being uber nitpicky and just enjoy wearing them.

Let's also be honest that there's not more people being able to know that this watch is expensive than there are able to tell it apart from the gen. You don't have to look rich to be rich. Nobody would ever think that our boy Bill Gate is filthy rich just by looking at him

That is a PPF and the markers at 9 and 12 are fine. Go ahead and approve it, the sooner you do the sooner it'll be on your wrist. Good luck with customs this time.

I accepted it hours ago hehe thx

There's also people in this forum richer then you'd think

8.6mm...is 0.1mm more, but people will see that thickness from narnia...idk, idk...

Actually, based on some measurements even the gen is 8.6 thick. Check out the review by Tim from Watchfinder (one of the most respect sources on the internet). In his video, he says the watch is 8.6mm thick (even the Youtube description says 8.6mm).

That gen is a thicker gen, not a good gen IMO.

It's official, I am getting a PPF. I just got out of my Lambo, and a guy said, hey nice PF Patek 5711 with Keylog DW and 2xr. I said how did you know, he said I could see it was not 8.6mm. hahahaha

Is it a 1:1 AAA+ Lambo? Can you post the link to the TD please?

As often, Mosso is wrong, he's just never contradicted because gen owners don't really care

Even though there could be some variation in the measurements, the only pics I've seen of the gen with a caliper on them, are closer to the advertised 8.3 than the alleged 8.6 mm
By looking at other real life measurement (with their load of accuracy issues, most of them are done on cheap non-repeatable calipers, compared to precision tools used by Patek) it seems that there's around a 0.10mm difference between what's advertised and what's measured (looked at the 5712 for example)

5712 : https://www.watchprosite.com/patek-...tilus-with-moon-phase-but/11.1073398.7843863/

Note that I'm perfectly happy with rep or gen being at 9mm

very interesting conclusion. Different sources for the information being spread are a must.

Maybe we can step up the game by using micrometers in our rep-reviews
