I tried one on at an AD yesterday and WOW! Super sexy, perfect size, love the look. Would buy a rep of this for sure.
It is NOT coming soon. While there is no decrease in demand yet, maker will not bother making something with modified thinner smaller movement like this.
i think all 1940 case fans will be happy soon)

Another vintage design is resurfacing in the PAM512. A big maker (who wants to stay anonymous for now) is currently working on this lovely timepiece. The PAM512’s design which dates back to 1940 is very sleek and slimmer than the majority of Panerai models which makes this perfect for anyone with smaller wrists. Let’s admit it, not every one of us can wear military watches with sizes 47mm and above, which makes this watch very unique because you guys out there, yes you with the slim wrists can now wear a military watch with ease and comfort. I believe the 512 is 42mm while the 514 is 47mm...
PT newsletter is a little confusing, it states 512 yet it mentioned 47mm?
They just wrote that the 512 will be perfect for people who cannot wear 47mm watches because of their small wrists. Nothing confusing about it...
I don't own any Pam's as they seem they'd be a little big on my wrist.

Hmm, interesting. Do like the vintage design. Feels like Panerai just keeps spitting out more and more models...
I was about to post a new thread about this .. but glad you guys already included it here. I think many of us will be very happy once this comes out. But it will be interesting to see what they did with the movement and how accurate it will actually look.
Actually the panerai.com website is slightly confusing in this regard:
This is the picture for movement of this watch (Seems to be P.999/1), but it states that the movement is the inhouse P.999 which looks like this:
