I noticed from the beginning the crystal was never as clear as vsf or gen. I don't have a gen to compare to but I have the first iteration and it definitely wasn't as clear as the vsf v2. And so far a lot of the orf crystals seem to be worse than what I got via pics

thank you. The ORF’s CG does look a bit shorter, but then ot doesnt look like the crown os protruding more. If it wasnt for the crystal, then it would have been a tough call

Gen cg’s have a slightly more softened polished edge but ORF cg’s are very close. The crown is not quite identical to gen being a fraction longer and not polished the same but on the wrist it’s not really a tell unless you look at blown up pics and stand looking at them side by side.
ORF went through a short run with crystals lacking double ar but they are better now. The one above is clearly one of those. New stock is good and the blue has been updated plus the bezel engravings are smoother on recent qc I’ve seen.

yep. Might consider upgrading the xtal. If someone can tell me ORF's crystal thickness :) I would be so grateful. Other than that, I am pretty chuffed with it.

I just got mine in the mail. The second 12 hour marker is a little bit off but nothing too bad.

It's not just the crystal that's off in the most recent batch of ORFs. The bezel insert is 20 shades of wrong. The numerals and markers are not only too fat, they are engraved with a depth that can be seen and felt. Early ORF on the left (all blue), recent ORF on the right (Tokyo).

I’ll confirm when it arrives but the very latest batch which yours isn’t has moved back to the better finish on both bezel and crystal AR. I’m guessing ORF like a few makers were scavenging for parts away from their normal sources for a while. Fingers crossed it’s delivered in a day or two.
