I replaced my vsf bracelet with an orf. The little polished bits are WAY better on the orf. I kept the vsf clasp though..

So I managed to obtain a genuine blue dial and I have the updated correct blue shaded bezel ORF donor watch on the way. Can’t wait to see if the gen dial fits in the case (especially as vsf and orf have slightly different sized dials according to member here who dismantled both)

That was probably me as I tried to interchange various parts between the two. The biggest thing about the gen dial is the crisp white lume. You might have to relume the rep hands as even the ORF is not that white. Not sure how white the updated VSF’s are as I’ve not had one.

Can you measure the gen dial diameter as I think I still have a VSF blue dial in my parts box and can measure that for you.

That would be great if you could measure the vsf.

I know the dial feet will need clipping as the 8800 isn’t the same as the 2824 used in the reps. I could have got some gen hands too but wasn’t sure they would fit the movement. I had some gen PO hands for the 8500 movement and they didn’t fit the vsf clone.

Ok so gen dial measures the same as the orf. Dial feet are in the wrong position so this will go to a modder for fitting.

Biggest differences between gen and rep are the seamaster text which is obvious and less obviously the orf has more shiny markers, they appear taller, more domed and have a little bit more polish to them.

Yeah Late last year orf really improved their colour scheme on the blue version.

Looking good buddy. A vsf bezel would be a good swap as it has deeper scallops than ORF and is a straight swap over as well.
