Do you think service for lub and waterproofing enhancement is a good thing on this 2824 watch ?
I'm hesitating to order this on trusty....

Thanks in advance

At the price they are selling it for, people would cry if they didn't decorate the movement and put a simple miyota there.

Never happy.

The decorated movement is,most of the Times, what make difference between one of this watch and dh/ali watches.
BTW does someone really thinks that a good watchmaker wouldn’t recognise a fake movement at first Glance?

This seems to be not a decorated movement, but a cover plate with fake screws, fake regulator, fake jewels, fake mainspring barrels, all of them just glued on.
A fake movement would be a 2824-2 with just some markings on and a bit of embellishments like the black balance wheel, and surely I would like that better than this facsimile of a movement that can be detected immediacy once you try to access any of the real parts for even a small maintenance.
This is just an obstacle you have to laboriously remove just to slide the regulator...

Just to be clear: what you see is not the actual movement! Stop talking about 'decorated movement': this is just a metal plate decorated as a movement with glued on screws, jewels etc. and fixed on top of the actual movement, hiding it.

I'm sorry: this watch looks just great and the titanium case is a real plus. It's a very fascinating watch and it also has a valid 2824-2 movement, a real workhorse. Why should I pay for a useless plate hiding it inside a closed case? Why should they put all those efforts to decorate a fake plate instead of just decorating the 2824-2 that for sure is nothing like the coaxial Omega movement?

I apologize for my rants, but I pray that the factories should stop putting their efforts and resources on this and instead divert them to other more purposeful ends...

Sorry about the delay in your order.

I ordered my V2 at the end of the first week of April, very soon after they announced the V2, and I just got it yesterday (I'm in the USA).

Based on Andrew's response, my guess is that they quickly sold out of the V2 and are waiting for more. I wonder, are you getting the V2 or, at this point, the V3 with the more accurate bracelet?

QC pics received today! in fact it is the V3 with new updated bracelet...I paid the 20 USD difference for the bracelet.

Hi All.

imranbecks has done an amazing job of keeping us up-to date while we all waited for our watches so thanks for that dude!

Received my V2 today, overall very very happy with it, with a couple of caveats thrown in.

Lets clear something up that has caused questions first of all . . . The bezel and dial are brown and it looks brilliant. . . . It is so hard to capture it in photos but its the most wonderful deep chocolate brown, its so close to black it could easily be mistaken.

The titanium case is great, its light, finished well, engraving on the back is good and as far as comparison with gen, all looks spot on. The mesh strap is ok, its nothing to write home about and certainly nothing like gen, the colour is way off from the Ti case but on its own its fair quality and even with the errors works very well with the watch.

The 1st caveat to the awesomeness of this timepiece is the thin numerals on the bezel, if you are looking for absolute Gen clone mega super rep, this doesn't cut the cloth in my opinion. The V1 looks to have far better bezel numbers (thicker) compared to V2 (too thin).

What we really want is a V2 case and dial with a V1 bezel. . . . Is this what we will get with V3 . . . V3.5 . . V4 etc?!?!?

The 2nd caveat (its not an issue its a niggle) is the hands. . . . .They look a bit rough. Please do not think i am picking up on this because of the macro shot, this is just to show you all a close up, you can make out the machined lines on them if the light catches, I will be interested to see if its just my watch or all of them?

The dial printing is fantastic, I mean really good. Check out the macro shot and tell me its not!

Lastly is a lume shot. I have not tested it for longevity, but as you can see its all present and correct and nice to see the bezel light up too!

Very nice rep indeed... I'm already imaganing the moment I'll go to the cinema to watch 007 in November... reminds me of my swiss Viktorinox while I was watching Mac Gyver in the 90's ! :D

Appreciate the mention and it's my pleasure.

With regards to the hands having those lines.... Its like that on the gen as well. Look for macro shots of the gen and its exactly like that.

As for the bezel numbers, I'm probably the only one that's fine with it. Its definitely only slightly thinner than the gen but it's fine to me. I thought the bezel numbers on the V1 was too thick to begin with. Even thicker than the gen I think.

I think the clarity of the crystal could also be improved, I love this watch but I have lots of reps and gens and this crystal needs AR on the inside. Its a great watch for the money no doubt.

Macro shots of the gen. Note the finishing on the hands.

It’s a great watch, The hands are indeed meant to have that finish. The only thing that can be rough (which we saw on the VSF spectre) are the outer edges where they are cut, as if they are fine burrs left over. Not seen that on this one yet but we’ve only had a few here.

I received mine today, and my bezel is super loose.

Anyone else have this issue?

...my bezel is super loose.

I'm sure there is quite a bit of variation between individual watches when it comes to bezel action.

Mine is almost too tight. I initially thought it was totally stuck, no play at all but I really need to get a good grip to get it to move. This doesn't bother me since I don't intend to rotate the bezel very often.
