Wait, does the V3 have a titanium band?

The v3 Clasp appears to be titanium already so I suppose the steel mesh is a prototype until they perfect a replica titanium mesh. Probably quite acceptable to a non discerning eye! But nevertheless I think most owners would appreciate a titanium mesh for the overall light feel ....and to have as close as possible to what JB will have on his wrist come November of course!

How can you tell the clasp is titanium? Is this in any of the specs?

Also, does anyone know if the buckle and other metal parts of the V2 nato strap are titanium?

The metal of the buckle is a darker than the SS mesh...and it also says Titanium on it.

Yeah that’s how I’d made that assumption too. Certainly looks like the same material as the case. From the video posted the other day.

I’d definitely say the numbers on this v3 are thicker or larger than the v2 as Of you look where the 50 is there is less space between the top of the numbers and the edge of the bezel.

I just hope they haven’t listened to us bang on too much about the old ‘brown hue’ debate as from feedback of the v2 owners suggests that’s something that clearly can be discerned in the flesh far easier than the images - I don’t want a latte coloured v3!!

There's been a lot of talk on how the supposed v3's bezel font is larger/thicker than the v2's—go back a month or so, the v2's font size was seen to be thinner than the v1. So how does the "v3" compare to the v1? Wouldn't they be about the same??

I bet it’s the older bezel on the new case

That's what I was thinking; they could be using up left-over stock of those older bezels. But, who knows...

It happens often, you’ll see in other reps parts from other versions as they transition not only that, some factories may have used more than one producer of the same part (costs) which may explain differences,

For one thing I think we all would like to get a more precise idea on how the more accurate bracelet will fit on the wrists using those spaced pin holes...
I mean, on the whole I like the Omega bracelets but they still have to implement those micro adjustments you find i.e. on the Rolex's.

PS: well, what do you know? I've just checked the 'SPECTRE' bracelet and indeed it has the best ever made micro adjustment on its clasp: just push and slide... But honestly on the other Omega clasps I only see a couple of holes to reposition the holding springbar... Just saying.

On a separate note from recent purchases and this watch in particular, what’s a normal waiting time for qc images these days?

You must be very patient in this difficult period.
I have placed my order on April 15th and until today I have not yet received the QC pics from Trusty.
I asked Andrew and he replied this:
“Order is in progress. We are waiting for factory to pass us the stocks”.

Just because it says titanium on the clasp doesn't make it titanium. The factory just wants to make the rep clasp look accurate like the gen since the gen clasp has titanium written on it. It could be steel for all we know. Can't say for sure to be honest. Let's not forget that the case of the V1 said titanium on the lugs too but we all know that was stainless steel...

Wasnt the 1st bezel insert SS instead of aluminium?

The bezel is made up of 2 parts. The bezel ring and the insert. on v1 the bezel ring is steel and v2 is titanium. but the insert itself should be aluminium as per gen (or similar material used by the factories) on both versions.

Sorry about the delay in your order.

I ordered my V2 at the end of the first week of April, very soon after they announced the V2, and I just got it yesterday (I'm in the USA).

Based on Andrew's response, my guess is that they quickly sold out of the V2 and are waiting for more. I wonder, are you getting the V2 or, at this point, the V3 with the more accurate bracelet?

Sorry I meant the “...it also says Titanium on it” part as a joke—I probably need to make that more obvious next time :D

A number of pages back I mentioned the darker colour of the buckle compared with the rest of the new bracelet (in the video and pics I’ve seen of it so far) and that’s why I assume it’s titanium. But I guess it could just be my eyes playing tricks on me.

It could also just be brushed steel which gives it a slightly darker look.
All I know is that I want the Ti version asap, the mesh that it comes with it has come undone on me twice today and the first time it hit concrete. Not good.
