So this is the new updated one, called 2020, Most people including me, i have 2 Genuine, now my favourite watch of all is the Casino Royale on the black leather, and it's my fav Bond film, I get a kick out of seeing it on his wrist, knowing mine is that watch. If i now brought the NTTD watch and watched the film and saw the differences I would not be impressed. Its nearly 8k, If I was not on here I would not have known it's changed. https://www.mappinandwebb.com/Omega-...a1sstdtv2osu4i

No. That is still with the old mesh. The new one has thicker endlinks that covers a bit more of the mesh to make it more secure. But yes, not movie accurate.

This is the new one...

That's interesting, as that is new stock, just arrived in the UK, So where are they selling this new one? If the straps were breaking surely they would not still sell the old version? I mean the UK as Bond is British, you would think would be their biggest money maker, all very confusing, but so 2020 :-(

Agree that Omega should stop selling the old version. As far as I know, some recent buyers got the new one. Where from, I'm not sure. There are two on Facebook and that pic is from Instagram. Current owners with the old mesh who just found out about this have contacted Omega and some are in the process of exchanging the old mesh with the new one. I think Omega should let people know abt it. Many owners out there wearing the old mesh might not be aware of this design flaw and will be in for a shock when it suddenly breaks.

Like this the value of the (movie accurate) first version might increase more than expected with a unlimited watch. I presume most people like the movie accurate first mesh better.

Tbh the new bracelet changes look like a minor cosmetic upgrade. I can understand why it may bother a number of people but I don't find it to be an issue.

What I felt was inaccurate at the time, now I'm grateful it is inaccurate.. Lol. The V3 mesh on the rep is welded securely with the endlinks. I have no worries about it coming apart on the rep :p

How did you remove it? like a Rolex Bezel, just pop off with a knife?

I used a guitar pick (soft plastic) to gently pry the bezel off. It snaps back on easily. Just be careful as the metal ring that the tabs are attached to is not firmly attached to the case and may go flying.

Finally pulled the trigger on the V3.5/4. I decided the upgrades to the bracelet didnt matter to me and I'd prob rock it on a leather strap eventually anyway. Will post QC's when I get them!

Having had the V3 and V3.5/4, I can tell that the V4 bracelet is sized slightly differently. The V3 was a perfect fit on the 2nd hole while the V3.5/4 is a bit too tight on 2nd hole. It might also be the fact that the V3.5 is a little bit thicker and thus doesn't bend as much as the V3. Thinking about buying back the V3 to the guy I sold the watch as he's wearing it on the NATO strap.

Hey Chewwy00 can you say something about how the mesh bracelet of the V4? How is the looks like in contrast to the GEN and how it feels to wear it on your wrist? Does it feel good? Thanks in advance.

I just updated from V2 to V4.
I noticed the bezel insert on the V3/4 is much blacker than V2. Under Sunlight and the right angle the V2 was getting more into Coffee brown. While the effect on the V3/4 is much less. And the engraved markers and numbers on the V2 are more deeper than the V3/4.
Also the black painted texts in the caseback are more thicker in the V3/4. V2 looks even a bit better and less cheap like this.
can one of you Gen owners tell me which one os more accurate to the Gen? I never had the chance to see on in real yet....

Well just going by that photo, the V2 is a lot closer. But that is kinda odd because photos of other V3s that have been posted here don't look that different to the pictured V2. :idontno:

That above picture of the V3/4 isn't an accurate depiction of the actual watch. I think it maybe the angle, the closeness to the camera and a hint of blurriness causing the bezel to look too congested and the numberings thicker than it actually is.

Rocking my V2 for almost a week now as this would've been the week the movie is to be released. In a perfect world, the movie would've already been out and most of us here and Bond fans everywhere would probably have seen it by now

In a perfect world we would be watching NTTD on DVD/Blu-Ray by now.

So So True, and the talk would be the 60th Anniversary and who would replace Craig, and what a load of dodo or how great NTTD was, and if the film had been out, would it have changed the way the rep keeps being upgraded?

Hi, the mesh bracelet on the v4 is beautifully finished! Initially I didn't intend to wear it at all but when i saw it in person, i changed my mind! It is now fitted on my 50th anniversary James Bond VSF Omega and makes it look like a completely different watch. The mesh bracelet is not the most confortable to wear though if I'm being honest. Reason for that is that I have relatively thin wrists and so on the second hole, the bracelet curvature is at its max. The bracelet thus keeps a set curvature that doesn't match exactly the one of my wrist. So not the most confy but still easily wearable.
The most confortable for me is the MN strap that's fitted on my V4 NTTD! Love the combo!
I'll try to upload pictures later on!

Cheers,

Chewy
