I bought impulsively on ebay because it was at a relatively good price, the seller had loads of used parts from all kinds of brands and had an 100% positive feedback since away back .

Impulsive buying, the trait of an intelligent man.
Haha, yeah we've all been there. Rafflesdials 3135 DW is the schizz.

Yours looks gen to me.

Just so I'm not too boring for you guys, I'll ask all at once:

Does this case accept the gen bezel assembly?

The difference between the 16710 bezel assembly and the 16610 is that the 16710 doesn't have a friction bezel and the click spring is different, correct?

Does anyone knows if MarkieMarks 501b endlinks fit the case well?

Yes it does.

Only the click spring is different. Friction/tension ring needed in both.

Gen is better, but great thing about hollow-endlinks - they can be modified easily

My doubt about the friction ring came from this thread:

You’re reading that thread incorrectly. Anything prior to 16750 was a friction bezel that didn’t click.

16710 does click. You need a tension/bezel washer and click spring with the curved hook so the bezel can move both directions.

If it was 16610 the click spring would be straight and only allow the bezel to turn counter clockwise.

Otherwise both the 16610 and 16710 bezel assemblies are interchangeable

When I ordered mine, I asked him a few questions and he never got back to me. He only replied when I complained that it was taking more than a month for the parcel to arrive and the tracking was saying that it hadn't even been collected by the carrier yet. It's a good thing I ended up receiving the case.

Can these still be bought? I do not see them on Ebay? I have a nice BP but upgrading case would be sick!

BP’s have a quite nice dials, but they’re not gen spec and are too wide for gen spec 16710 cases. :(

And you can’t do a 16570 from the BP because of how the crystal is secured and the type of bezel the 16710 uses. I tried but no luck.

Slightly offtopic - I just received a 16710 viet case (kuared) with custom serial engraving. While not having a gen watch available I measured the same dimensions as in this thread and what I see is:

- top CG width 1.8 mm
- bottom CG width 4.5 mm
- tip to tip 47.3 mm

Seems to be pretty close to the gen. Also the brushing of lugs looks good. Same for chamfers. The downside is that it uses a different thread for the tube (5330 would need to be glued there) but it seems that 6330 gen tube together with 604-0 will work fine (to be confirmed). Waiting for gen retaining ring so that I can check it with this viet case. So far the gen crystal with the gen gasket sits nicely in the rehaut.

Does anyone know the height of the rehaut for the gen?
Hi this is great post, I was wondering is anyone has the dimension of the bezel on a gen 16710, as in width the and height the of the case section, and the bezel and spring assembly. I have one of the newer BP 16710 which as the crappy old bezel metal wire spring set up, and was wondering if maybe having a play and using a complete bezel ring, insert and spring assembly from WSO would actually fit. Rather than just buying on a whim If anybody knows the gen spec sizes and they are close to the dims on the BP I might give it a go. I suspect they are way off or that the crystal will need changing, but this is more for the want of trying really as the new case I have isnt all that bad CG's look ok and even the over emphasised chamfers are way less, and with a little grey scotch pad work they are far less visible unless under a loupe.
TIA

Any further news on these in terms of availability? I can’t seem to source them anymore on eBay.
