don't worry, i have seen gens like that as well - it is within Rolex tolerance IMO
Hahaha I love how nitpicky people are getting :)

The ARF is just so good that people try to find flaws even though some of them are well within gen tolerances.

I think I will soon do a build with a concentric dial. I somehow really like it even though I was never a big fan of arabic dials. But it looks like a vinyl to me.

Awesome! Do it bro and post some pictures here or even a build thread ! Im still pre-occupied with 2 builds currently it will take some time and money until I get to this datejust. But after seeing so many great pictures of the ARF I am 100% convinced of this watch. And everyone knows how nitpicky I am :p

Yes the smooth bezel is nice too but I like the flashyness of the fluted whitegold one! Man this datejust is killing me but I would still get a swiss eta to replace the sh movement. When the build is done I dont want to think about movement issues along the years.

Nice! I will defiantly build it, I’m starting to collect parts. The only issue is the dial, it’s pretty rare and expensive, but I’ll eventually shell out the money for it.

Yeah, I like the low-key presence of the black dial and the Arabic numbers. But I also like the subtle flashy red date to contrast it. I’ll post a thread when I’m done collecting parts

With a bit of patience you will be able to get one for 250 to 350 USD. I will let you know should I ever come across one. They are not rare though, they pop up often compared to daydate dials.

Yes that is alot but nothing compared to daydate dials most of them cost atleast double but often times even more.

Awesome, please let me know if you see one in the 250-350 range. The one I was looking at on eBay was like 550 which I told myself was too much

For me is a problem of printing

from my experience with SH 3135 / Yuki 3135 movement, their movement's dial feet location can be drilled slightly-off at times. This causes even my genuine Rolex dial to sit not-centred

unfortunately this problem cannot really be corrected either

Just a second, what I mean is not the eventually incorrect position of the dial (off centre) but the "ROLEX" printing that is not parallel to the "OYSTER PERPETUAL..." :)

Is a little annoying thing.

Honestly I think that centering the dial is possibile, due to the movement holder. Seems to use TABS and with them there is a little gap to play with and try to center the dial/movement.

Look here:

To guys that have one of these do they feel a lot more substantial on the wrist than the older 36mm datejusts from the 1980s/ 1990s?

Yes, absolutely. Hollow links vs solid links REALLY make a difference in the weight and feel on the wrist.

Don't forget the solid endlinks with the first outward link being fixed.

They make the case length a bit longer plus the case is fatter in general.

They wear much bigger actually imo.

Excellent guys! Good to hear. I tried a gen classic 36mm and it felt like a ladies watch. I was underwhelmed for sure!
