Anybody know if they will extend the dial options? I am waiting for a black dial version.

Seems like the crown does touch the rail track. Is it the same on all of this series? How is the one you ended up getting?

It is within tolerance of this rep bro. Most pictures I have seen the crown touched or even cuts into the railroadtrack.

Have only seen 1 so far where the crown sits a bit lower.

But I wouldnt reject a QC because of this reason.

It is close but doesn’t touch the track.

There is a market gap for 36mm datejust. BP and LF used to be the monopoly for the mid-level Datejust 36mm rep, but both factory models are flawed because they don't have the correct lug shape or the correct overall dimension... but people didn't have a choice because they were the monopoly and other factories haven't stepped in to compete.

Now ARF turns up with a $60 more expensive Datejust (the old BP 1162xx with SA3135 cost $308 I think) with the added advantages of 904l steel, probably better case dimensions and lugs (needs to be confirmed with a review), and a SH 3135 movement that is compatible with gen 3135 parts... so IMO the $60 incremental price jump is justifiable and the BP / LF Datejust is going to be dead

The datejust 41 from noob with wrapped gold is hard to sell probably because not many people like Datejust these days... and certainly not smaller models like 36mm. This is why other factories like Noob haven't stepped into the 36mm Datejust competition when watches like Sub and GMT Master are so popular

hey buddy, what do you think of the 36 DJ noob dial (blue) vs the new ARF dial?
I can't unsee the crown touching the rail track on the latter.
do you know if the noob dial is gen sized so it could fit the ARF case?

thanks

I’ve got one being built with gen hands, gen rhodium Roman dial, and gen date wheel. I decided on oyster as I feel they wear larger on the wrist.

Love it! Please post once completed. Can’t wait till I figure out where to have watches built with these mods

These are the only ones I have.

I’ve also managed to find a gen roulette dw so this bad boy will be a fairly unique rep!!

She sure is pretty! Maybe my eyes aren’t as sharp this morning as I type this here in Shanghai but the DW font in this pic looks better than others. However, doesn’t matter since you found a gen DW.

I’m so itch’n to buy. Love your choice with the jubilee I think it compliments the fluted bezel so well

Yup.. also not a fan of the 3135.. if they offer other movement options they'd sell more IMO..

Also @gamba66 (please don't flame the newbie-im still trying to read and learn as much as I can) Will this case take another movement option? Easy to swap in a more reliable movement?

Yea. But only a Gen Rolex cal 3135.... and just get the 3135. There’s thousands of people on here that has never had an issue with the SH or Yuki movement! Including myself. You will only here about the people that have had issues!!! A service is 125 dollars or spend 200-250 for a great services movement with Swiss parts.

Got it! Thanks for that info! Should've clarified "other" reliable movement than a gen 3135. haha

I'm trying to source a legit watchsmith here in Shanghai that I can have my reps serviced once I purchase them. The $ spent seems worth it however, I've read people not service the movement and its run solid and vise versa, serviced the movement upon arrival but still had problems - seems a hit and miss regardless!

Maybe we're all better off not paying for service in the beginning , crossing our fingers until if and when it breaks, then at that time spend $250 or so for the new serviced movement with Swiss parts. I know, I need to spend more time learning about movements to find out which reliable movements can go into which watches and what the pros and cons are for each scenario.

This hobby is becoming addicting! I already need to be admitted to rep watch AA classes after only 2 months. :hehehe:
