Without a doubtStill a damn sight better than 7750 and deco plates![]()
This. If you want a fidgeting toy, there are many on Aliexpress... do not mess with your chronos, repeat, do not mess with your chronos, gen or rep.A quick assessment of the movement shows that while it isn’t a real clone movement (a lot of gen parts will not fit), it is well built and fairly reliable, and I’ll put it in the same bracket as the 4130 clone movement quality.
The flyback works but nobody knows currently how long it’ll hold up. It won’t be a concern if you run the flyback function a few times a day I guess. I don’t even do it for my gen 26240s despite owning them for about 2 years so I dare say it’s a function you can live without.![]()

Do you realize how many eggs you can buy with $800? Like ummmmm…. A lot of eggs….They can do what they want, worse case it breaks, it is a $800 or so paperweight, not a 50k one
Did any of you eggs break yet? Or do they show breakage flaws?Do you realize how many eggs you can buy with $800? Like ummmmm…. A lot of eggs….
They actually broke when I threw them onto your house and car….Did any of you eggs break yet? Or do they show breakage flaws?
The math checks out. They actually broke when I threw them onto your house and car….
I was going to double down and use toilet paper too but a mean looking fatwoman came out and I was scared
Let them enjoy their watches please I think they earned it. I think it’s good of @Autobús and @MFK100 to share their ceramic 26240s and show that while the breakage issue is prevalent, it is not in 100% of the specimens. It gives hope to others who ordered the same. Can you see breakage flaws on the bracelet?
Like the gen, the rep isn’t meant to be a daily IMHO.I thought my ceramic was going to be the exception and was pretty careful with it.
Third time wearing it I put on my jacket and it broke. Luckily I caught it in my sleeve before it hit the ground.
Tried to fit a spare leather strap from a 15400 but the holes on the little strap lugs are too small for the pins that came off the ceramic.
Either going to drill them out or find a AP screw of some sort to fit the lugs to the case.
If they can make a bracket to correct the flaw great, if I have to fit it to leather or rubber that’s fine, the watch is still freakin nice.
Because you already beat me to it and told us that 4 out of the 5 you have are destroyed.Let them enjoy their watches please I think they earned it. I’ll prefer not to see the question again on the thread each time someone posts a 26240CE. I’m sure that if they wish to share any issues they would. If you’re not comfortable with buying it personally of course you don’t have to. @QueTip and I were just discussing this issue the other day and feel that those owners who escaped the breakage issues in the 26240CEs are exceptions rather than the norm. But let them share their watches in the spirit intended rather than responding to their pictures with variations of the same question or asking them to try to flex it and see if it breaks. I’m surprised you didn’t ask me to do that too whenever I posted pictures of my gen.![]()
Oh right. I got caught lolBecause you already beat me to it and told us that 4 out of the 5 you have are destroyed.
Was it the lack of rounding of the edges or the drilling that caused the flaws?
Oh and about the open work case back with the “douuble” print, do you have a replacement?
Hmmm…. Could you try flexing your gen one to see if it’ll break? For the spirit of the community of course….Like the gen, the rep isn’t meant to be a daily IMHO.
I highly doubt that the gen 26240CE is unbreakable. I’ve simply worn it too sparingly. Putting it on rubber or leather straps is a good call. Do let us know how that turns out visually. You may start a new trend yet.![]()

I daily the APSF Perpetual calendar black ceramic, and it’s bulletproof. So farLike the gen, the rep isn’t meant to be a daily IMHO.
