thanks I will look into it. might go that route but I'm thinking ill wait until I receive the watch and see how it looks in person it might not bother me much.
I agree. It’s pretty hard to notice small alignment issue on the screws in person. The only times I’ve ever noticed a screw was when it was chewed up, or completely in the wrong direction.

Yup I rejected it, sorry I had a sentence where I said I rejected it and Steve was trying to explain no rep is perfect bla blah blah, but I must've deleted it by accident.

But ya, was just sharing and to also see if I was being too picky. I noticed someone else here ask the same and legend gave feedback without any discipline, so I thought it would be ok.
You’re good bro. You can share qc once you’ve accepted it or rejected it. I think you made the right choice. Stocks are low so likely it was a leftover watch that someone else had rejected already.

I’ll be honest, I thought my shit was crooked af on the QC but I accepted since I didn’t want to keep waiting until after CNY. Once I got it in hand, I don’t even notice the marker crookedness. They’re such small features our eyes will hardly mind them irl

here's my blue qc image I got recently.

everything looks aligned to me but those screws look way off especially at the top. hopefully I will receive the watch within 2 weeks. any idea where to buy properly slotted high quality screws for this watch?
Really??? I don't see the screw being that bad at all, for me those would be more then acceptable.

On a side note, here is the legendary gen John Mayer. My brother has an amazing AP account in HK, and I'm the poor brother who wears the reps lol.

The screw at h4 seems misaligned :ROFLMAO: . Guys let's not get paranoid, we are talking about replicas and the QCs are super enlarged. A normal person doesn't even know Royal Oak. If we have a standard of living that justifies the object and "play the part" properly no one will ever doubt. If you deliver pizzas, and wear a Patek full gold gen, people will think it's fake anyway. You are the first tell of your reps.

Everything looks pretty straight to me. I’m guessing the blue models everyone is having qc issues with are leftover from previous RL.
It can be. Everyone has a different opinion about what is tolerable, so I don't think it's a bad thing to offer the watches to others.

I don't notice the slightly displaced markers on my wrist. And I'm sure no one else would notice it on my wrist.

HEY EVERYONE HOW DO MY SCREWS LOOK?? :ROFLMAO:

For anyone legitimately worried about their bezel screws, aligning them is an incredibly easy process. Also, you can get new screws on AliX if you're inclined.
Some of the screws are locked in place with a nut that needs to be removed right? Others seem to fall out when you take off the case back screw.

That is the case sometimes, yes, but for me it's been very inconsistent even from the same factory with the same model. Most of the time in my experience, no special tool is needed. If you do encounter those nuts, though, you can use this tool to address it which has been good for me.

Thanks, I had one in the past for my AP offshores but now I can’t find it. I didn’t realize they come in different sizes.

26331 screws do not use a nut. That's only in the diver watches. The issue with the current batch is that the cutouts for the screws are bigger than the screws, so when you tighten them, they rotate due to the extra space.

Which one do I get for this model ? At this point everyone might as well buy a batch since the QC on screws is bad from the factory.

This is the 26240 thread but, apart from that, nice info.

Far as the rep offshores, I’ve compared the same models across JF, APSF, ZF, XF, and multiples of the same model from the same factory (15703, 15706, 15707, 15710, and 15720) and, annoyingly, haven’t encountered those nuts with predictable consistency even on those.

Where I need to be.
Royal oaks have WG screws. ROOs on the other hand use steel screws.
Some of my older 26170 ROOs had white gold screws but AP stopped using that in the later batches of the 26170s and the 262470s all have stainless steel bezel screws.
The early 15400s have white gold screws but this was discontinued in the later 15400s and for all 15500s.
My gen 15510s and 26240s have stainless steel screws with exception of the 15510BC which has white gold screws. I have also asked and confirmed this with my AD representatives.

Cost cutting and raising the price? I thought they would preserve some essence and characteristics. But no.

Also doesn’t help that 80s and 90s APs look like pure now. Like if you wore one, people would think they were bad fakes. It’s not meant to be passed on if the QC on them looks clownish.

I think the DNA of the brand has been preserved throughout most of their lineage. Can I clarify which 80s and 90s models look (horrible I presume?) now?
And why so? I think most of them look fine if you’re into APs and if you’re not, the current models won’t look appealing too.
