Well I’m a full month in to waiting for QC from Li for a pan am, and he says “Sorry to tell, still got no update from the maker yet. And he told me that he met some technical issues need to solved, but did not tell me more clear information about it.“
Anyone else in my boat? I just want the damn case and date wheel, I don’t even need the rest!

There is another original Rolex 6542 on VRF in the selling section at the moment. Maybe a good source for high res pics of a gen in order to compare with your builds:

took delivery of a 6542 placed with jtime three months ago today, and oh dear
usually i'm in the camp of not nitpicking QCs, but i really shouldn't have let some of these issues slide
1. chipped insert paint
2. less-than-ideal dw (but honestly li showed me three watches and all had terrible dw placement)
3. slanted tube for crown (see pic of it screwed in)
on top of that, there was the additional surprise of the hands (especially the GMT) not being aligned and the date freely spinning and not flipping for half of the numbers
5. hand alignment
6. dirt under the crystal
i'm hoping they'll let me do a return and exchange, but if you're still dealing with your QCs hopefully you'll avoid some of the issues on mine
i'm not sure if its just the factory, but the first set of QCs for this particular watch also featured hair stuck to the minute hand (which jtime helped remove)

from which dealer?
jtime mentioned the factory was having issues but that was two months prior
all things considered he's been super patient with my order

Refused 2 times 6542 from jtime, then let it be... Now, waiting for this one but not from jtime...
Hi, would you mind sharing what dealer you chose eventually? Looks good, Jtime is retiring the 6542 anyway so looking for alternative versions/ dealers!

that’s a shame, the parts on the jtime 6542 are actually quite nice, but the assembly is not so good on some of them
