According to my calipers, the insert listed in the last post should fit the bp base.are there any fuchsia Al inserts available that fits a BP base?
It's identical to the ones in the sign , it's the sameI bought the Helenrou bezel and can confirm that it fits the BP Cartel case. However, the bezel is of poor/low quality and the same as the original bezel insert. Which can be a good thing when it comes to fit, but quality wise it's not really worth $99,-. It's still the low quality soft plastic insert and the paint of the numerals is just too light.
Servus to allI have a question for the vintage specialists. I would like to buy or build a 6542 vintage GMT Rep. in the future, due to the many parts on the market from different websites I am only confused, because I honestly do not know at all which parts to grab or buy !! What do you think are the best parts in the rep area such as case, dial, bracelets etc. for a 6542 GMT?? I realize that the price goes from to, but it is important to me to have a really good build that accompanies me my life and is very high quality!! I hope that someone can help me here
Have a nice day everyone!!
Thank you very much for your opinion and quick answer, I only know one Ken who sells parts from Vietnam, am I right??As a base I would start with a Viet case from Ruby. They have the best rep bezel insert as well. All other inserts are inferior in my opinion.
The dial you could source from various Viet dealers as well. I don't have the Ruby one, but the one they have for sale seems pretty good as far as I can tell.
For the movement I would use an ETA 2823 with GMT mod. Hands I would get from Raffles.
Do you mean http://vintagewatchpart.net/ ?Thank you very much for your opinion and quick answer, I only know one Ken who sells parts from Vietnam, am I right??
I think its still Ruby.Any recent experience with vintagewatchpart.net? Did you order there after the real ruby died and „Ken“ did take over?
YesDo you mean http://vintagewatchpart.net/ ?
I would be interested in that too! Especially like the quality of the parts are because they rather cost moreAny recent experience with vintagewatchpart.net? Did you order there after the real ruby died and „Ken“ did take over?
Interesting. So Ruby renamed herself in a coverup to „ken“ or the real ruby was not real and already „ken“ before?I think its still Ruby.
Lol. The plot thickens. Yes i use the part numbers off that site and contact her on WhatsApp and weather its her store or she just sources the parts from them. Its all good. No issues in the transaction however i have noticed a decline in quality in regards to the lume on the dials. EXTREMELY FRAGILE. The slightest touch or jolt and ive had entire lume plots just fall off the dial. It was a source of my frustration and rage last week.Interesting. So Ruby renamed herself in a coverup to „ken“ or the real ruby was not real and already „ken“ before?
anyway did you order from him/her the last months?
The whole Ruby fiasco seems like misunderstandings from multiple people compounding like a big game of telephone. The way I interpreted it: apparently there used to be a Chinese TD here that passed away and some people confused this Ruby with the unrelated Vietnamese vintage parts seller Ruby. This coupled with the fact that Viet vintage parts Ruby had an ownership or management change just threw another spanner in the works.Any recent experience with vintagewatchpart.net? Did you order there after the real ruby died and „Ken“ did take over?
