Aaaaand of course I’m on mobile and the pictures uploaded out of order :huh1:
Well anyways, you get the point.
Well anyways, you get the point.
I found a really nice ETA 2472 with high end finish to upgrade my build. It have the same 18000 bph as genuine Rolex 6542 and I just need to mill a custom GMT module to put on top and for that I can probably use the Clone 2836-2 gears. But first a service and fresh oils to see the performance of this old movement.
My experience with JTIME
On 6/13/20 I ordered this
https://jtime.cc/us/gmt-master-6542-...hand-made.html
and paid by PayPal $433.00
On 7/27/20 I got theses QC photos, 44 DAYS from order.
I rejected these photos because the dial and hands are not aged at all as seen in the original listing.
or as seen in this thread from other members who have received the watch. https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...42-budget-factory-option-by-ts-station/page85
On 7/27/20 Lana responded and stated they would replace the watch for me. (This is an acknowledgement from JTime that the watch was not acceptable)
On 8/15/20 I asked for an update on my order and Lana responded that she would look into it.
On 8/30/20 I asked for an update and received no response.
Yesterday I had to ask a RWI moderator for assistance and received a refund to my PayPal. 87 days from time of order.
In the end I would of rather had the watch as no other TD has these with the good DWO and engraved CB
Dang man, I would have taken the the watch and done the aging myself...the date wheel is perfectly centered, unlike a lot of these.
Love that there is still so much interest in the 6542 which is my favorite GMT Master. I know this isn't a TS, but I thought I'd share for you guys trying to make yours look more like something like this. One of the biggest issues with the TS is how green and thin the bezel numerals are. I think mine is the best possible version you can have as far as color and construction. This is a Viet case with viet negative relief tropical gilt dial + Yuki bracelet. I still need to age the date wheel and been thinking about changing out the tropical dial for a black MQ.
Where’s the insert from? MQ’s is great but it’s $300

It's a Vietnam bezel. Honestly I would pay MQ for that. The color is on point. MQ quoted me $500 for a non gilt 6542 dial and $1000 for a gilt black dial LOL. He then quoted me $6500 for just the 6542 watch head with gen movement and rest of it rep.
Neither do the only albino 6542s that have been publicly endorsed as authentic (1 by Hodinkee and 1 by Stefano Mazzariol)
