I love the blue, did you paint it?

Do you have pictures of the process?

I sanded the whole bottom side. Then I painted red with the straight demarcation line, then wait for drying, then the blue. I used acrylic paint, then varnish spray.

that ruby dial is absolutely gorgeous. did it fit without issues/modification? aside from the dial feet of course.

there is a big brass spacer/movement ring, and surprisingly it fits perfectly! The 6542 ruby dial is gen spec and has no feet, so I just expoxied new feet. The movement ring then fit snugly inside the 6542 dial lip, perfect fit!

Redheart do you change the movement with a eta low beat ?

I’m planning to switch the 2836 with a 2846 and use the Rep gmt gear on it , but I’m worry about issue with data disc or other stem alignment..
Recently I have had some data disc problem with another 1665 project from 2813 to eta 2873/2879 .

Anyone that had switch to a low beat movement?

I kept all stock, didn't switch the movement unfortunately. Good enough for me, I wear for fun only. You mean 1655?

For me the low beat is the next essential step .
No 1655 is a 1665 sea dweller after have change the movement it randomly stop working. My watchsmith said that maybe is the data disc that touch the top of case or stem that isn’t aligned touch something.
now is going to rework the inside of the case on the top for make more room.

So now I’m worry to change the movement to the 6542 that have also the gmt gears
