So my plexi just cracked out of nowhere, by just being on the winder. Going to be sending it to oascom for a full service. Any recommendations on a plexi?

repainted the insert to give the red a more vintage hand painted feel. black portion didnt look right sanded down, so i filled it again, open to suggestions?

I'll throw my two in the mix... both from Kuvarsit...both with the same crappy lugs. I found this thread looking for better HELs but since it's the lugs, I'll find a couple of straps. And yes, to me, the insert looks black.

I have one from Li, it's nice! Added a viet dial, filed the bottom of the crown for correcting that ugly crown a little bit, filed the surround profil bezel and filed the top of the insert as flat as I can, also added a chamfer for the inside rim as per some gen have. Love the Pan Am case back so much! Mine was black and ugly maroon, but you can change that!
Clark plexi and AM hands, and there you have it, a budget 6542 finally!
I know it's a SCOC and incorrect for 6542, but hey it's what I have right now, and maybe later when funds allow the OCC will go on!

For the money, it's great period.

The model that TT has is the same build as PC and PT.

It’s a different caseset. I don’t think it’s as accurate as the one Li sells, but it’s almost $100 less.

For those waiting on QC pics from Li I just got this email from Li:

“Normally it will take 7-10 before you receive the QC pics for ordering this watch.
As it is not massive produced by major factories like other models.”

how did you remove/install the crystal? mine stuck on pretty good. do you have to pull up the retention ring?
