I have already asked Toro if he can source one...

The case and bezel seem thicker that the ts or is only my impression ? Also the rehaut seem strange, only the caseback appear correct .

Looks pretty good for a budget option! It appears to be built on the standard Silix/Cartel 65XX midcase, so will most likely need lug holes drilled and that bezel modded a bit. Probably a 29mm dial fitment too.

maybe is a better option for build a 6538 than a 6542..if the dial have the correct diameter for a Vietnam dial .

I suspect a gen-spec dial won’t fit this case and I doubt a gen-spec crystal will either.

I read in another post that Josh has described the “Bakelite” insert as being aluminum with lume applied to the top and then coated with plastic. I’m thinking that the modding options for this piece will be limited.
If you want to build a 6538, you’d probably be better off just buying the Silix case set and building it from the ground up.

The top half of the insert sure looks black, even the description says black. Which would be a shame as Coke was never in 1675, let alone 6542.

I think I'm going to pass on this one. I keep looking at this pic I saved from RWG, a watch I would easily pay $700 or $800 for and I'm afraid another cheapie with a Shuriken bezel is just going to be a disappointment.

Maybe If some guy will buy this perfectclones 6542 can show us if the DIAL diameter is 26mm like other 55xx cartel or is 27mm* (for fit gen spec 6538) or 27.7mm*(for fit gen spec 6542)?

And the helenarou is too thick for a nice 6538 and worst for a 6536/1

The coke insert is major cockblock that’s why I wasn’t considering the albino. The other one is all wrong but as someone said before me: in an age where a miyota steel simple watch goes for 478 at least, seeing these prices makes you lose your straight mind

I am really really tempted to go for the albino. I don't even care it doesn't have the engraved case back.

The only two places I've seen claims of legit albino 6542s (Hodinkee and Stefano Mazzoriol) said there is no PanAm logo on the caseback.
