Could someone please confirm the engraving on the movement - lettering says "Twenty-Seven"but the numeral looks like 23 or 28 jewels ??? Surely that kind of obvious mistake would be totally unacceptable for the PPF asking price of $688

twenty seven 26 jewels lol.im pretty sure they make these mistakes on purpose so if the authorities do say anything they can turn around and say it's not exactly the same,it says 26 instead of 27.

Probably right , but I am still out at that price. Knowing there is such an obvious error would drive me crazy.

Is it an error, YES. But your claim of "obvious" is a bit far fetched. Consider yourself lucky if you can read a single word/letter in the movement engraving of a watch with naked eyes. The factory probably misplaced the moulds when they did the engraving (they are robots, nobody proof reads LOL)

Furthermore, I think many of us overlook the fact that the people in charge of the molds have little to zero knowledge of English and even less of watchmaking. Even running it through spellcheck wouldn't have caught this error. TBH it's a small wonder that there aren't more errors. Pretty much the same as if I gave you the job of making a teeny tiny Chinese etching of a proverb about basket weaving. They're not really words if you don't understand the language...just shapes and figures...
Also let us not forget the other error on the case back engraving: "FIVE 6 POSITIONS".
While I agree these are minimal flaws, they are bothersome on an otherwise very well done rep. That being said this is still on my list to purchase once we get more clarity on if there is any real difference between PPF version and Green Maker version.

Sorry, the 3 stick marker looks slightly off. Maybe it's the angle?

Maybe so, I'm not too fussed about it. I never noticed after looking for quite some time, so I'll be happy regardless when it arrives.
My markers are slightly off. All of them are. Fudge it best we have today.

Bezel brush leans a little to the right, but some gens are not super straight as well.
