The only modder who i ever seen the best raise print datewheel is TC. I wish someone can make one for the 5711. Then i will calll my buff build finished

That’s why I think if we treat this more like a movie prop replica and less like a imo build we can really create something amazing. It happens all the time with movie prop replicas where people make blueprints based on pictures of the prop to create it as accurate as possible. It’s tough and requires lots of math but the result will be the ultimate build guide to end all speculation.

I wonder at this point once this does happen. Will the 5711 mods go into the vintage category loool. I really do hope the “6711” will be in something like titanium. It would be super comfortable and weigh nothing and just add a new layer to the watch. The only trade off might be the color and finishing level.
The 5711 blue dial has had many iterations, not just to dial color, markers, even dw etc…in order for a guide to be accurate, lest useful, 2481 will need to be very specific to the month & year of the make he’s trying to emulate.
eg he mentioned the Patek logo & geneva are poor on the Buff dial; I guess he never saw pre-2011s…any rep has crisper lettering in comparison, so that’s not a tell.
The mods have to be period correct.

When the dial has the boxed logo (like the one from Buff) it automatically classifies it as post 2019 so that makes things easier...

Yeah but you were commenting on the fact that he said the buff dial has weak printings, and saying that there are gen dials from pre 2011 that have even poorer printings. That's a moot point since buff is supposed to be post 2019

Based upon your great pics we can conclude nothing's on a par with gen dials. PPFv4 and Buff dials are very good but imperfect alternatives. But hey, we are talking about a ca. USD 8k worth product and its USD 100-300 worth renditions.

Mine doesnt shine like that under the sun . As another member said too. is there a few different buff batch?
The green hue shouldn’t be shown on the boxed logo dial whereas unboxed logo has it. I have told buff about this, but their response is like are you nut, it is just a toy.
One thing i see different other then color is the stripes on the dial. Gen looks more bevel and 3D. Buff seems flat
I am going to confuse you guys even more.
This was an earlier buff that one of my buddies bought when the buff craze started. It had a very strong sunburst which I wasn’t able to replicate with later versions
This is my current one which I did my best to bring the sunburst out. It is definitely less “bursty”.
