An addition to the raffle case build, a reworked crystal base on a Clark I think... 😁

I originally didn't understand your post... now I do. That crystal looks perfect!!! Best reworking of a 1675 crystal to date, just beautiful work.

I'm also on a mission to complete a Long E or Mark II, but I keep screwing up my hz 6460 movements. Decided to mock up the movement holder, clamp, and screw fitment with parts I already damaged.
-destroyed BiVintage insert
-scratched Raffles dial
-broken movement and scratched crystal

I'll switch out all the parts once I get the stem length right, but I just needed some motivation. After a few years of no issues, the keyless and date wheels on the HZ6460s have come back to haunt me with a vengeance
Accidentally posted a Milk V1 in the Raffles section, but it's still a Raffles dial. 🫤
Updated it a little more though. Now has an undamaged Raffles dial, better hands, worse crown, and old eBay insert... I like it better, but unfortunately, I think I need to drop in an Mk1 (Long E) dial and a new insert. And crown!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is the tube for the crown press fit or screwed in? There doesn't seem to be a spline pattern inside to unscrew it.

I have a lot of problems with this movement. I have disassembled and reassembled this watch so many times because of the problems with the date change. I think it's really bad quality. I ended up damaging the watch... I won't buy it again.
I somehow smoked another hZ 6460!

I was setting the time, while debating on the bezel insert look I wanted to achieve for watch next to it, and it just froze. Seconds are exactly at 12, just to rub it in.
Any idea what might've happened? Could I have used the wrong movement holder and worn something thin on the stem? I don't hear any loose screws, and the sweep hand has never rubbed the crystal.
Greatest moment ever!

Just curious if anyone has a suggestion or two where I should start.

The raffles mouvement holder allows you to install the whole thing slightly angled in the case, possible that the second hand touch the crystal at 12...

Lots of great info in this thread, thanks! I'll be putting my raffles based Kurtz together in the coming weeks once remaining parts arrive...

What's the best/easy method for removing the crown tube on these? I intend to reuse it so don't want to ruin it...
