Negative experience with ChazingTime - falsified timegrapher pics, non-running watch shipped.

I ordered a DateJust with an AsiaClone 3235 automatic movement from ChazingTime for around 450 USD. Everything went well and as expected, so I skimmed the ordering process up to delivery, and that's when my problems started. I ordered and paid for the watch at the end of June, and about 2 weeks later I received the QC pictures. Shipping via CZ to GER was problem-free and the watch arrived in mid-September. And that's where the problems started. The watch wasn't working, so I contacted CT. They wrote back really quickly, but unfortunately I couldn't get the movement to work even with their help videos. CT assumed that there was damage in transit and I was then offered the opportunity to send the watch to China for repairs. I was wearing the watch and was told to pay the risk of it being confiscated by customs or if it was lost, and I was advised to send it via the national postal service, as DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc. were very unreliable when it came to confiscations. I then went to the post office and was informed that shipments to China are only sent via DHL. The shipping costs would be just under 50 USD. I then contacted CT again to find another solution without expensive and unsafe shipping to China. Unfortunately, CT completely rejected this. I then decided to go to a German watchmaker. He opened the movement and found that it had been assembled incorrectly during production and that a foreign metal part had become wedged in the movement, meaning that the watch could never run. Even with this finding, CT was not very accommodating. I was only informed that the watch had been checked before shipping and that this could also be seen in the QC pictures. However, upon closer inspection of the QC pictures, I saw that the second hand is in the same position in every picture - so it is highly unlikely that CT checked it. My conclusion is that I really won't buy anything from them again. A discount of 75 USD - my cost for the watchmaker - would have been absolutely sufficient for me. But obviously CT does not value customer loyalty and quality.
Interesting, as I’ve had very positive experience with ChazingTime (see profile pic for first decent rep purchased). I received a BP GMTII, on which the seconds hand came loose and is free spinning. Not their fault, it was fine for a couple of days, but they’re working with me. I will likely attempt to repair it myself. Just ordered a VSF Aqua Terra from them, they advised VSF is about 3 weeks minimum before they send anything - which I acknowledged, it’s nothing they can do anything about - and no more BP Factory for me. The VF Black Bay GMT I have is very high quality (thought the hand stack is incorrect of course with a 2836) and keeps better time than my gen Christopher Ward 2824-2.

How is this your first post ?

Brand new account and ONLY posts here and makes a thread about his positive experience from buying a watch six months ago?

I wonder who either (a) asked you to post this or (b) who you really are?

Enough, why pick on the OP when he is bringing an obviously serious issue to our attention?
Posts like this discourage people from coming forward when stuff happens, do you want this kind of thing to go unreported? Is that preferable to you?

Normally I read the negative feedback posts with a sense of anticipation....an expectation that the OP is almost always a clueless newbie unreasonably expecting Rolex level of service from someone who procures counterfeit goods for a living and inevitably proceeds to get roasted by the more experienced collectors while concurrently getting cheered on by equally clueless newcomers. On this occasion, however, it appears there may be substance to the allegations, which shakes the very foundations of one of the key assumptions here - that the word TRUSTED in trusted dealer is a non-negotiable assumption. Honor Amongst Thieves, if you will. IMHO, intentionally supplying a non-functional watch while deliberately falsifying timegraph readings would be a terminal offence.

I realize that but why have the rodico stuff there anyways?
Potentially so they can pause the results when it looks best and they can take their time to capture that on photo. If they have to do that for 20-30% of the watches they QC, maybe they just cover it all the time... I think that's probably the most positive spin I can think of haha.

The timegrapher is paused, which is shown by a red LED. With the timegrapher paused on favorable results it's very simple to use those results for multiple watches.
Not that the results are exactly;y favourable, look at the trace. Also, a lift angle of 58deg?

I can't speak for all TD's, but the TD I do most business with sends a VIDEO, not a photo of the timegrapher running. He will even show the timepiece in more than one position. I completely understand what you're saying here though. Zero breadcrumbs on the screen because of the pause. This is so greasy, Diddy would buy this watch.
