These were my QC pics that I approved .. it’s been shipped.

To me, the applied “B” on the dial was a deal breaker when I initially saw the photos. On your photos it doesn’t bother me as much since it’s actually polished nicely. What’s your take on the dial printing and applied “B”?

OP, what are your observations of the deployment clasp which goes on the leather now that you’ve had it for a few days? Comparable to gen?
I love deployants but always hesitant to use rep ones as in the past they start to ‘pop off’ themselves over time.
This one look better?

Definitely something suspicious going on there. You're not going crazy nor are you imagining it....
The watch is still gorgeous and the slide rule being a mark off on half the dial won’t bother some people plus, it keeps pretty good time! So, it will find a good home soon enough!
This new style of clasp I can't compare because I've never handled the gen in this style. However, it is the most comfortable breitling deployant I've ever worn. I'm not sure why... Perhaps it's because the profile is slimmer than previous versions so it doesn't dig into the wrist.
It hasn't popped open on its own yet.
The rep strap is very soft too.
I don't think the blue colour is as dark as gen, it seems lighter? The padding isn't as thick as gen but I've seen new gen straps with a flatter padding.... Which no doubt owes to it being more pliable.
I think, if you had the brown or black rep deploy strap, then you'll be quite happy.
Here is one more comparison of what I got Vs what I was shown as my watch in qc....
Notice where the 60 marker has to be on what I got in order to achieve the great alignment at 11-25
now look at the qc photo..
Hopefully you can see the discrepancy!
Dude I feel the same way about the rep deployant.. not just that but they dig into my arm and are just super uncomfortable... I prefer the tang deployant..
BUT this deployant is different. It is really quite comfortable to be honest!!
Damn man, that sucks. It's really not looking good for Chazingtime. Looks like they swapped out the watch after you green lit the QC. What do they have to say for themselves?
Oh dude, tripdog sided with Chazingtime almost immediately saying it must have been “lighting” or photo angles” which we know is horseshit!
there is no way you can reproduce the qc pics to look like they did with the watch I received without completely altering the photo...
just look!!! It is misaligned on the wrong side of the dial markers for god sakes..
Importr Looks really good. Would you mind telling me, where you bought that strap. My slide rule has a very similar alignment as Ebzens slide rule. Mine isn't perfect, I believe that if KOR reduced the ratio of the outer scale so that the hash marks came in to the edge of the silver background, most of the alignment issues would go away? For me right now, it doesn't bother me at all to be honest. From a couple of feet away, no one else would notice!
Regarding the bottle effect crystal :
Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I understand it, the distortion occurs when the crystal is not a true double dome camber. So if the inner surface is flatter, the distortion is worse. I'm guessing that Breitling et al make a compromise between clarity and impact resistance. I actually prefer the look of the crystal as shown below.
The crystal diameter is 38.5mm. Same as gen and rep 41mm Navitimers. Usually 1.5mm thick.
I'm sure you guys are getting bored of my pics by now
One more of my slide rule alignment. Making sure that the movement and dial are not loose within the case.
Yea I’d agree that is within the scope of acceptable.. I’ve seen gens off almost that much..
So I have been comming to this thread way to may times trying to decide blue or black. Went black, even though the blue is really close. Hopefully should have qc pics in a few days.
