My husband, who does not know that I've joined this forum because he's not supposed to know that he's getting a watch at Christmas, has just informed me that his brother would like a replacement for a replica watch of some sort that his wife had bought him but which is no longer working.
So far, I don't know anything about the original watch, other than the fact that it has a white face (as the spy does not read the forum), so I'll need to find some other details from his wife.
The catch though, is that we're supposed to keep gifts in this exchange under $50. Now I've bought Rolex watches in Shenzhen plenty of times for between $12-$25 and they even have Rolex spelled right. But I've also had the experience of having the crown pull completely out of the watch when trying to set the time with those watches. I doubt that the recipient of this watch will have any idea of what the gen would look like, and he probably wouldn't care that much.
With this in mind, is there some grade of replica that exists between the replicas you guys typically discuss and the kind that disintegrates on human contact?
Or does anyone know of a dealer that has a huge surplus of watches that he will be dumping any time soon?
