Ale, Thanks to you and the rest of the guys for this. If you require any more pictures of the KW417, please let me know. It looks like you guys have covered, but if you need them, do not hesitate.

As mentioned on RWG (about doing a comparison with a gen 417), I missed my chance. I may get another in the summer --- but by that time I'm sure we will be past this.

ttyl.

Can I just say that the weight issue seems overblown? I'm a card carrying member of the analisti (which sounds horribly like an x-rated website), but which of us can actually tell a 5-10 gram difference in our hands? I certainly cant

On, weight is not an issue with the new pam. We were more concerned about the shape of lugs and CG. My kw arrived the other day and the quality of dial/hands makes it a definite keeper. Some obvious flaws, but don't plan on doing a case transplant just yet. I'm assuming noob is going to put out version 4 at some point. Not really sure what the factories are working on these days...

At the level of accuracy of a current replica it is really difficult to get significative weight differences. The case-sets and the PAM movements are almost 1:1 replicated in shape and dimensions. Crystals have the same thickness. Materials are the same, and so...

Bear in mind that 1 cm3 of steel weights about 7,8 gr. And you all know that a cm3 is a cube of 10x10x10mm.
Do you really think that can get such a differences in a current PAM replica??

I think the lever is way too square. Lugs are bad. The dial is great, but for the money I'm not sure if its worth it

If you have already the 111, the 005 is more similar, you should choose PAM 417. IMO
You will get impressed for the quality of this watch in person. Very GEN-like

Just my 5 cents - I'm really considering buying this KW 417 but I'd rather wait for the full review. Meanwhile I asked one of the TD who offers this watch is it really that good as they say. This is what he answered:
"This 417 is good, but I think the CG still Noob factory is better. also the case finishing is Noob factory better. The only advantage is Noob factory doesn't have this model..."

Some of you guys already have it in your hands. Why don't you tease us with more pictures? Please!

Klockis and I have in our hands these replicas several hours every day for more a week ago. And we know every part of these cases: Noob, KW and H maker.

My opinions before full review:

"but I think the CG still Noob factory is better"
The own CG is better in Noob clearly, better square inner edges, and way worse in H maker. But the roller part and the lever body is clearly better KW. The tip of the lever has better position Noob and H maker (stuck to the case). General finish and fitting is better in KW IMO
CG PIN id better in KW in all aspects, but has a little wrong position towards the right side. Noob really is a little high too (but it is less noticeable)

"also the case finishing is Noob factory better"
Not at all. KW finish is the most GEN-like I have seen. Clean edges, sharp angles, clean contour of lugs joining the case, brushed surfaces, polishing, engravings in caseback. Nice bezel (rounded shape more accurate in Noob). Inner lugs in KW are completely polished. Perfect fitting.
Someone could say the Noob has the same finish but never better !

And you need to see the KW crystal and the quality and finsh of the dial and lume application. Nice PIG too, very GEN-like.

I'm not talking yet about accuracy I'm just takling about appearance and GEN-like look. When you see this watch you forget the accuracy and the comparisons and you start to enjoy a WATCH, those were my first thoughts.

You have many pics of this watch in this thread and the links, but pics don't make justice they are no useful to get an idea of this watch. You need to see it in person !!

Where the bluegrass sways!
Mine arrived today. I will get some pics later tonight but I can surely tell you not one noob I own has better crown guard than this one does period!! this CG seriously looks like it was cut with a "laser" I know it wasn't but it is that square cornered and sharp!!
My only fault is the lume is a little disappointing not quite as good as my noob's or my H factory watches
cant take side by sides at the moment of my 111n it left for marlins work shop today along with my 127 for full work ups both plus picking up one of his 113's too so I will have to wait about 3 weeks for side by side
