Nice. I need to build a Officer model. I have one Commander, and the rest are 5" or longer.

The one in my pic is a Springfield Ultra Compact that used to be S/S until I sent it to Springfield's custom shop..they do awesome work and refinishing

An old pic from a car forum I'm on but you get the idea.

One lives in the laptop bag and the other goes on my belt or in the glovebox. Depends on what I'm doing or where I'm going...

The five-seven is a neat gun, but practically I don't thnk it's as useful as a more conventional handgun, and the bullets are simply too light for me to want to use it as a car gun ,as it's my understanding that smaller projectiles do a bad job of effectively penetrating barriers (like auto glass). I may be wrong about that last part, but still I would much rather have a Glock 17/19 with 16/18 rounds of 9mm than 30 rounds of those tiny 5.7mm bullets.

I was at the range and they had a 5.7, they had just gotten it back from repairs and it shot like a dream. Light and no recoil. I went 5 days later and they sent it back with problems. They told me it has given them nothing but problems which is a red flag for me for a 1200 dollar gun that uses exotic rounds.

It is illegal to own a handgun in my city, let alone conceal carry...I say this while drooling over the pics in this thread...

If I was able to legally own one, it would be a Walther PPK...What can I say, I'm a huge Bond fan...

Just took this pic while hanging out in a hospital room. Glad the nurse didn't come in while I was doing it. ;)

I don't think he disbelieved you had it; I'd say it's more suspicion of you carrying it concealed.

I can definitely say that regardless of concealed carry laws you'd get buried by a civil suit if you used it.

I have an M72 LAW but I don't carry it for defense. ;)

Actually... I think he didn't believe me. My carry license states I can carry "any" legally owned weapon concealed.... But I find my Thompson with the 50 round drum to heavy and the M16a1 to long.

Dave

I'd love to see the law and a few rockets buddy

There's pics of it in an old EDC thread here somewhere. Rockets? Nope. Not available to civvies, Class II NFA or not. There is a flare conversion for it though. For me it's a conversation piece now.

You sure seem defensive about it, buddy. No need to get all wound up.

Bottom line, even IF it's legal in your state it's just not a smart carry choice. After having to use it, you'd never survive the suits. Even Massad Ayoob wouldn't testify on your behalf.

I'll assume talk of carrying it concealed is just Internet-forum bravado and let it go at that.

We now return you to your regularly-scheduled carry thread. :D

I retract my last statement since you made the point before me.
BTW I don't have rockets at home, They stayed at the armory when I ETSd.

At the risk of a "Cool Story Bro"

My first post was an attempt at some humor

The photos were a response to someone calling me out.

I do know NFA rules as I've been collecting since '82 (hence the rocket comment)...

I was getting defensive (my bad... I was a dick)

Apologies to all
