Debating between a Farer Stanhope and Lorier Zephyr (very different watches) for my next micro purchase.

I did consider a Farer purchase, for me actually going to their "shop" which is a shed in a garden by the looks of things! anyway, it was the moon phase Eddington that appealed to me, but a hand wound moon phase kind of turned me off. But the Salmon dial, the hand painted moon and the 10mm thin brushed sides did make me look twice

Indeed : best choice for an accurate Moonphase, provided you want to use it for something else than just the look, would be quartz...

I was pointing my "now watch mad young nephew with little to no money". at the microbrands and telling him to be cool and lead not follow.... but to follow this link - it opened a whole world to him of affordable and quite smart watches.

yes but then the "poor" young nephew who I pointed to go research the microbrands said to me .....

"but I can get a rep Clean Daytona 126500 from one of the RWI Td's for about £600...... and I think I'll impress the girls more with one of those "

I couldn't actually argue with him until I pointed out that the "young girls" more than likely wouldnt actually know what a 126500 was and if they did they would know that his "cheap ass couldn't afford one so it was a FAKE"

Marloe makes a watch called a Coniston which is pretty sweet. I dig the gray "Vulcan" version.

Yeah, watch him, too, now and again. A really nice chap, from Scotland originally. I think the Erebus is basically San Martin quality, and I like the "philosophy" behind it, telling "hey guys, quality is not necessarily expensive, with most brands you overpay for the name and marketing ". Wish him good luck. But as you said, not original enough.

One that I picked up is Oceaneva the GMT. Its a American watch company and only sold from the factory.
I all so have a Deep Blue which is a great but heavy watch and a Christopher Trident MK 1

I love what Kurono and Kuoe do in Japan. Being a big fan of Japan in general, I love purchasing their watches. High quality without Switzerland's snobism but much more innovative for the last 20 years. And when it comes to microbrand, they are good in the game too.
