RB and SW are parts manufacturers. You buy the dial and get it installed.
Where is it leaking from? Where are the bubbles coming from? Did you grease the rubber gasket?I just got 3 days ago my 3k Aquanaut.I got it pressure tested but it can’t pass neither 3Atm! I searched over the forum for a couple of days about water resistance but i can't find a definitive answer. Most of the people saying water resistance is a matter of luck for all the rep aquanauts..Is water-resistance modding to at least 5-6 bars even doable??
yes the rubber gasket is greased and i am intending to go to a watchmaker to bubble test it (if i find a trusted watchmaker who accept replicas though) .if its a common thing for 3k aquanauts maybe somebody who know better might give me few advicesWhere is it leaking from? Do you have any photos of the RB dial? How is it better compared to SW?Check out the new RB dial and pair it with an SW datewheel and set of hands
Talked to @jtimewatch about it a week ago. He didn't have any photos yet, but said the new RB dial is indeed good. Since it's now Lunar New Year, I wouldn't expect much for a few weeks.Do you have any photos of the RB dial? How is it better compared to SW?
Most realistic answer: No. At least not reliably. The best any watchmaker or modder can do is make sure the gaskets are good quality and greased. But reps will never have the tolerances that a gen Rolex, Omega, or Patek will have. You could be lucky with the tolerances of a specific watch, and have one that's reasonably water-resistant, it might pass the watchmaker test - but it's never certain how long that will last. This is also why no serious rep watchmaker will guarantee water-resistance.Is water-resistance modding to at least 5-6 bars even doable??
Ctime offer a waterproofing service and I asked about it for the aquanaut. They said not to bother as it's not a good watch for itMost realistic answer: No. At least not reliably. That's also why consensus advice is: Don't swim or even shower with any replica watch - if you want to be sure.
You seem new here, maybe new to the rep game, so I'll re-iterate the obvious: Wit a rep, you're not buying the same watch as you would from Patek, but just cheaper. Reps will always be lower quality, have flaws, and be of questionable water resistance, etc. And most important: no guarantee if anything goes wrong. Either learn to live with that, or buy gens.
Note the very important difference between a waterproofing service and offering a guarantee that the watch will be waterproof. If I have Omega service my genuine watch, they guarantee water-resistance. Most decent watchmakers would do the same for a genuine watch. No pro rep watchmaker (that I know of) offers a guarantee of water resistance, and that's not because they're dicks - it's because they know you can't get reps to be reliably waterproof.Ctime offer a waterproofing service and I asked about it for the aquanaut. I think @CTime does not offer that service anymore as they don’t work with mr wong anymoreAnyone have an approximate price for the case reshaping that CTime is offering (assuming i'm buying a 3kf from them)?
Anyone have final pictures of a completed case by their modder?
Try AMF or The Watch Mansion for TD here. Otherwise maybe Spongebob? Altho hes not a TD.Anyone have an approximate price for the case reshaping that CTime is offering (assuming i'm buying a 3kf from them)?
