Hi there !

Just received my ZF 5167 V2 bought from a TD here.
It is supposed to come with a 330 clone movement, and I need your help about that.

The movement in the ZF doesn't look the same as 3KF clone movement, and seconds hacks.

Experts, can you please have a look? Is it a modified miyota movement?

ZF has always come with Miyota, 3KF comes with 324/330 clone. This is normal. It has been this way for the last few years.

If he shows you more photos you will see that it is not miyota.

I believe this to be clone, not miyota.

ZF is supposedly sending new models with clone now.

First of all, I wanted to say I've never said the TD I bought this watch from tried to scam me. Since then, I bought another watch from him. I posted here because I was suprised to get a clone movement in a ZF 5167, and I am not an expert.
I have a 3KF V1 with a 324 clone movement, and the seconds don't hack.
The movement in this ZF has seconds hacking.
Anybody got a ZF V2 these days?

Sorry but that is 100% a miyota with a decorative plate over it. All of the “jewels” are just red paint on a thin platinum plated piece of metal/brass. If the fake jewels aren’t enough to tell you this, you can look at the cutouts in the bridges. You’ll see that beneath the cutouts there is a solid piece of metal (the miyota movement being covered) on the 324/330 movement, those cutouts go down to the base plate of the movement.

It might be true that ZF is going to introduce watches with the clone 324 movement.. but that is not happening as of yet.

There is also no clone 330. There is only the 324 which is currently only being used by 3K factory. When they say “updated 330 movement, most accurate, blah blah blah) they are referring to the updated decorative plate. It’s all marketing BS

9015 have a parashock system protecting the balance block. This very clearly does not from what I can see.

That's probably where the "modified" comes from in "modified miyota"

The hacking seconds are enough for me to say it's not a clone, as the gen and the existing clone are both non-hacking movements.

The Gen 324 movement does not hack but the Gen 330 does. Newer (Gen) 5167A have the updated 330 movement with hacking seconds hand

Thanks for clarifying! I had no idea. Much better, it's my one gripe with the 5167. Maybe it'll come to the clone movements at some point.
